  • awesome!!!

  • this is 300x better than the other version..at least. not hyperbolic ..lol

  • Lovely!!!!!

  • there is other instrumental version like same sang by CHRISIE,same instruments...thanks for john barry full orchestra version..r.i p J .barry ..missed your touch in bond series and other movies...

  • I keep on re-visiting this, I love it so much- In my opinion this is the Best Bond movie... ever. It had the best car, Locations, Characters, Music & Gadgets.

Very 80s, but that adds to it for me- Bond was intended to go up against the Soviets... Fleming wrote about the Cold War, and died before it was over- so to me, the best of the Bond franchise kind of ends at Goldeneye. Still good but not the same !

The Living Daylights was just right. :)

  • So this is the instrumental version eh? It's beautiful. Very beautiful.

  • Thank you very much for this post - I'm glad I found it.

  • Awesome, beauitful track..dosn't even need lyrics. in the same spirit as "OHMSS" (in my opinon)

  • Where dreams have no end indeed!

  • Tis true this movie is from 1987. So, just shut your eyes and enjoy....this is one of the best JB soundtracks short of On Her Majesty's Secret Service.

  • I agree 100%

  • turn off the light or close your eyes then let the music play ...you can feel the 90'S

  • This movie is from 1987 though.

  • @narusit ...or the late 80's too. :)

  • I have been looking for this version for a long time! I used to have the soundtrack, but lost it years ago. This song takes me back to a special time in my life. THANK YOU!!!

  • There was an awesome flute version of this tune... anybody know where it might be found?

  • It's part of the track "Kara Meets Bond" from the ost.

  • Thanks, I'll check it out. I just bought a flute and that's one tune I want to learn to play :-)

  • np. :)

  • TLD is perhaps one of my favorite soundtracks. I just didn't prefer the A-Ha theme. Otherwise, it would been a perfect soundtrack.

  • Beautiful... simply beautiful.

The Living Daylights is the highpoint of Bond music: great theme song, great songs from The Pretenders, and a great score from John Barry!

  • I agree, this soundtrack is definately one of Barry's best. :)

  • agree with that

  • Brilliant music, like most of the older Bond music. What has happened to all the good James Bond themes? They are very poor now and easily forgetable - like alot of the recent Bond movies! Since Dalton there has never been a convincing Bond - although my favourite is Moore!

  • Actually this song is called "Alternate End Titles" on the extended version of this amazing soundtrack. Just love it...

  • It is the alternate end titles. It's an instrumental version of the John Barry/Chrissie Hynde song 'If There was a Man' which was actually used over the end credits performed by The Pretenders.

    Fabulous music.

  • @walkabou5 which came first actually the song or the instrumental version?

  • Beautiful song!

  • My Heart thanks ! beautiful !!!

  • What's JB up to nowadays? Never hear anything of him. I think David Arnold has done a great job with Bond but I wish JB would do one more score for Daniel Craig.

  • Maybe the producer was afraid that John Barry's genre won't attract the younger audiences. Hey, it's all about money.

  • Ever since Arnold started with Tomorrow Never Dies, I always thought it would be cool if John Barry and David Arnold did some sort of collaboration 2012 (50 year anniversary of Dr. No)

  • John Barry is curently working on a non soundtrack album called 'The Seasons'

  • Absolutely brilliant song, and the music in it is awesome!

And this song is just so....beautiful.

    Ah to be Bond....

  • i love this

  • TLD is my favorite Bond movie.

  • I Love This Movie And This Song I Love Timothy Dalton!!

  • Always loved this piece of music. Even better as an instrumental. Thank you

  • thankyou very much.

  • Beautiful instrumental by John Barry. Thank you so much. Very romantic.
