I love United! I flew with them to Beijing last month in there First Class cabin on there 777's. It was great! Food was great and the FA were so kind! I hope United doesn't go down hill when they merge with Continental. I have never had a good experience with Continental.

@greghoward2007 Interesting. I did not know the IAD-ORD was on the new 767, either. The exact times of the SFO-ORD ile-flats vary, but for SFO-ORD, it tends to be the 10am departure with 5pm arrival. The ORD-SFO flight tends to be the 3:30pm departure with a 6:3ppm arrival. This makes it nice for us out of SFO to fly to Europe in C via ORD if the nonstop from SFO is not available.
Absolutely agreed! What sucks is this product is only available in the NYC market - I live in the DC area and it would be a great selling point because right now, the only civilized way to fly to the West Coast is Virgin America! Even as a 1K, I would prefer to ride in VA's economy class vs. United's "1st class" which thank God I don't pay for because it's such a joke. However, if the P.S. came down here it would finally give me a reason to switch back to United for west coast travels!
@greghoward2007 That is a great point. I always wondered that myself. Especially since Dulles is a major UA hub. They have that one service SFO-ORD in the lie-flat B767, which makes flying to ORD great. But I wish they had a premium product SFO-IAD also. That woudl make a lot of sense, and I agree, they'd probably generate more revenue with the people paying for full-fare business for that flight. Thanks for the comment!
Great job putting this together, very thorough, you should post on United's new Facebook page. This is rather similiar to United's international business class product (except they don not have wi-fi but the seats do recline 180 degrees)

The USA is a bit country, though, so it would be reasonable for such long flights (only 1 to 1.5 hour shorter than east coast to London). Thanks!

For every business class trip you see here, I do 8 to 10 economy flights to get my miles! The safety card is in a seat pocket on the wall, next to your seat, not all the way at the seatback pocket. @TonyMcGriffles Actually, that's not entirely true, UA Canceled their A350 order after announcement of the merger, and they are planning on phasing out the Airbus Narrow-body fleet in favor of newer 737 7 8 and 900s.

Love UA as a 1K flyer -- have 44 segments on UA this year already and heading to JFK tomorrow. Love PS service, but I hope the menu has changed. Flew that route 4x last year and the menu never changed.
@BearBearGuate It depends. If you are traveling alone or with a partner. If alone, downstairs is better because it's bigger, more spacious. If with a partner, upstairs is more intimate and fun. Easier to use the bathroom upstairs. Longer bathroom wait downstairs.
I flew this in September 2006 from JFK-LAX. I loved the experience. The seats were very comfortable and helped me rest when I just recover from serious whiplash after a car accident. @princesspepsi1 Yes, they do in first, but only on the P.S. flight, not regular United domestic flights. The first is lie-flat seats. Business is lazy-boy recliner style, but the recline is quite excellent.

In the beginning, you were looking at Interntional Terminal G, right? I've heard Star Alliance carriers use that terminal. Also, I live in the Bay Area... San Jose to be exact.

Yeah, I agree. It is a pretty impressive product that United has. Too bad it is only for JFK to SFO and JFK to LAX. I would have to say that the chef of the P.S. service is pretty awesome. He/she could teach the chef of UA's international business class a thing or 2. I have consistently had better meals on P.S. flights than I have on UA international business class.

Why cant United do this on flights 001 002 003 (777-200) between Hawaii and Chicago? First Class is like Economy Plus with wider seats and free food and drinks!

Love UA as a 1K flyer -- have 44 segments on UA this year already and heading to JFK tomorrow. Love PS service, but I hope the menu has changed. Flew that route 4x last year and the menu never changed.

Your SFO-NRT-TPE, I have a question. On the 744, on the upper deck, which is the best seat to pick? I'm on HKG-SIN this Nov on UA 895.

@BearBearGuate It depends. If you are traveling alone or with a partner. If alone, downstairs is better because it's bigger, more spacious. If with a partner, upstairs is more intimate and fun. Easier to use the bathroom upstairs. Longer bathroom wait downstairs.

I flew this in September 2006 from JFK-LAX. I loved the experience. The seats were very comfortable and helped me rest when I just recover from serious whiplash after a car accident. Thanks for making the memories live again with this video. Keep up the good work. I'll try to take video this Sunday night on the flight from HKG-MNL.

@princesspepsi1 Yes, they do in first, but only on the P.S. flight, not regular United domestic flights. The first is lie-flat seats. Business is lazy-boy recliner style, but the recline is quite excellent.

In the beginning, you were looking at Interntional Terminal G, right? I've heard Star Alliance carriers use that terminal. Also, I live in the Bay Area... San Jose to be exact.

Love th p.s. Business seats. I've been a very satisfies United customer. The flight attendants are usually awesome on this route, and the food is surprisingly good most of the time. I look forward to many upgraded JFK-SFO trips this year.

Yeah, I agree. It is a pretty impressive product that United has. Too bad it is only for JFK to SFO and JFK to LAX. I would have to say that the chef of the P.S. service is pretty awesome. He/she could teach the chef of UA's international business class a thing or 2. I have consistently had better meals on P.S. flights than I have on UA international business class.

Yes, only SFO-JFK and LAX-JFK. It's United's special service for the major east-west coast hubs.
