  • Hare Krishna Hare Krishna. Cool to see on the side of the tent.

  • sweet! my 2nd birthday was two days after Woodstock was over....I am more into this music than my mom, who is 20 yrs. older

  • Great video...It REALLY put the vibe into it, and put things into perspective...

  • damn that footage really brings back some good memories! i was 13 at the time, thanks for posting!!

  • Alan Wilson the Blind Owl was a genius. Canned Heat rocks...

  • bare hippie shit! classic

  • @2:05 Peace To You Too Sister! So cool.... Nuns at Woodstock!

Now isn't that just Heavenly!! God's looking down and saying,

"ALRIGHT SISTER." Peace ..Love and Humanity..Great Idea!!

  • I always thought these were the times of some kind of awakening.

The people tried to make LOVE not WAR in a cruel and evil era of military blockheads.

The said: It is not our war. We want peace! We don´t agree with the haters...

  • I was born too late. 1972. I believe people were really at one with each other. I see these movements of occupy with so much hate and violence. A lot of music festa I go to are just all about money and fights and bullshit. I would've loved to experience Woodstock

  • @Malcolmsgretsch Mind you , by the time the flower children hit Altamont things were not so sunny ... I was at a few of these happenings in the late 60's ..... there was something artificial , posing and phoney about lot of it ....wouldn't have said it back then but I always knew the optics were better than the reality ... of course being high etc was nice..... but you didn't miss as much as you imagine ... just check out how many dudes on this clip look pissed off ...

  • @mickigoe Revisionist nonsense mate! Your crude observations don't make it reality. What you can never take away is the sense of optimism, the idea that things could and should be better. There was a tremendous feeling that change really could take place. The environmental movement dates from this time. Now of course, the accountants are in charge and we live in reactionary times, but don't let your cynism put other people off from thinking there could be a better way...

  • @hicksabelle24 Why are my observations "crude" ? And you accuse me of "cynism" - which is presumably "cynicism". A lot of negative criticism from a devotee of "peace and love" , man ....... this typifies the bullshit phoniness I alluded to in my earlier comment.
