I heard that Ian McShane & Timothy Dalton were also great Heathcliff. I did watch both version with Finnes & Hardy. They both were superb. These kind of dramas have to br played by great actors if not is not going to be believable. When we watch something like this we want to fell what these two lovers feel for one another. Overall great performance.

I'm writing a story and it takes place in 1840. I want the characters to live in the same setting(area) as Wuthering Heights,but I'm a bit confused about the geographical area. Should I say that the person lives in Haworth Yorkshire England or should it be Haworth - West Yorkshire England or Bradford Haworth Yorkshire England? Can anyone please help?

@DreamPrincess010 you know the haworth isnt the only town on the edge of the pennines in west yorkshire (nor in my oppinion the most beautiful. Im bias cos i live in west yorks. anyhow id just stick with haworth, west yorkshire moors, dont go with bradford as people assosiate bradford as a multicultural socity which may give off the wrong vibe.

actually, it's a tragedy, remeniscent of Shakespeare's plays. Heathcliff really loved Cathy, and married Isabella only to spite Edgar, who hated him, and to make Cathy regret her choice of marrying Edgar.
