Just so everybody know, the Galaxy spica has one of the worst touch-screen I ever have tried. It really suck. It often freeze and most everything on this phone suck. I have Galaxy S and it is a HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU­UGE diffrent between them. This one may be cheaper but it wort it to buy a more expensive.

yes, the spica has an impressive 800 mhz to the LG's 600 mhz, but it doesn't have a gpu while LG's qualcomm chipset does and a very competent one at that.

If u were to run neocore on both devices, LG optimus will blow the Spica out of the water.

@Revanchist8525 that may be. But the spica is better optimized for use with android 2.1, whilst the optimus still needs to be updated to run smoother. Plus, the spica's extra 200mhz makes the optimus's gpu redundant. I'd call it a tie if it weren't for the optimus's resistive screen.

Don't buy it, lg p500 is the best in that price class, and samsung really can fuck up even the best software and make it buggy with no flash or multitouch. my spica is the most buggy phone I have ever owned. Kies pc suit and hard factory reset can't even fix it.. keep turning off without no reason, and I can't even adjust the lcd back-light anymore. never dropped the phone or got it wet. my girlfriend have no trouble with her htc desire. samsung is dead to me.. I pre ordered a desire hd.

@baddam95 i had the wave for a week then swapped it for galaxy... wave amazing phone really quick to learn an use but the problem is the theres only bout 1000 apps on it an most of them are in french. if the bada os had come out at the same time as android, i recon it would b better.... its goin to take at least a year to catch up.

I also just got this phone, and I have to say that it's a really great smartphone for a beginner such as myself. I'd say it's an awesome device for getting comfortable with the Android OS. Most likely the best budget smartphone!

My only complaint is that the touchscreen isn't incredibly sensitive, but it's definitely tolerable.
