this was not to bad, costumes are ace but they movements are not popped enough. They are not so good a popping and locking the movements into place they seems to stumble a bit.

Man, at least the movie got one thing right - Like how the nurses stand perfectly still for a long time and just pose in a hallway until they sense movement. Oh, wait they don't? Oh, it doesn't make any sense? Oh, what? They were probably thinking of the Mannequin monsters? (You people probably don't care, but my point is that all the movie did was use monsters and things from the game, and then gets them all wrong.)

and my point is, what game based movie DOESN'T get everything wrong? o.0 At least most somewhat follow the game... look at Resident Evil, which is perhaps the game movie that has gone way off into the retard universe to create an abominate hodgepodge of fanfic and game... Silent Hill only had like a coupe changes but it was still about a crazy cult and someone looking for their daughter, doom was somewhat the same story, mortal combat had no story so it is forgiven, but RE just went overboard

True, indeed, but that just means that the Silent Hill movie both sucks by itself and mocks a great series of games. I dunno, if the movie hadn't come out, there wouldn't be all these Silent Hill posers out there, and I would have to put up with the BS of Silent Hill 5

eh well thing is people bitched about Crystal Dynamics taking over the Tomb Raider Series, and then it turned out to be a pretty good game, so maybe SH5 won't be quite so horrible... most people just whine, but unless you play the game, you don't know if it's good or not...I didn't think the movie was all that bad, it did piss me off however how the mother is suddenly sad for what she did, while in the game she's the reason Silent Hill became what it is, the extra people were kind of awkward o.0

Well, the thing is, you can't look at the movie as an extension on Silent Hill in any way - It's more like the director dude going "It would be cool if it went like that" I thought the plot of the movie was waaaay too simplistic - Like "Zomg, witch hunterzzes i iz skared - zomg skari monsterrr"

well if they'd done a movie exactly like the game I wold certainly be bored because I know what's gonna happen... that's the mistake most game to movie people make... they try to make the same period in time and change the plot, instead of making add-ons like Resident Evil Degeneration... I wish they'd make a CGI movie explaining parts of SH1-4 instead of a movie based on SH1-4 lol

If they were going to do their own plot, why couldn't they just use their own characters instead of stealing a bunch of characters from the other games?

because every game movie does it... they use similar or identical characters so you can differentiate the original from the new... it's an old step process they use for video game to movie transitions... new fans have no idea, but old fans have the expectation to see at least one thing that's familiar... least that's how people explained themselves in the interviews :P

Well, the problem is when everybody acts like fans of the games when all they've seen is the movie - Which is completely different from the games. Then, I get stuck with poser kids everywhere mocking my favorite games.
