  • Y U NO BLINK?

  • Great video John. I've talked to a few attorneys about changing my sole prop architect biz, they recommend S-Corp or ever PC. My biz income is SO small, and right now it's not even my primary source of income. I want to change the name and want a simple pass thru org with the same low-cost accounting and book keeping. Is that wrong? Why do the attorneys keep pushing S-Corp? Can I start as LLC and change later?

  • Great videos!

  • This info was precise and clearly understood, that was exactly what i needed. thanks for your expertise. I am starting a gaming social club for men, all the proceeds will go back into the club to improve our facilities, obtaining a function hall, vehicles, entertaining the members and assisting in our community, would I be considered a business or an organization? Would that still be an LLC?

Also, I wanted to know, if I had female volunteers as servers, can they accept tips?

  • JOhn,Are interns and volunteers(free workers) classified as employees?

Can I pay myself a minimal salary or no salary at all. Because what ever I pay myself I will be putting right back into the company.

Can I pay for my minimal salary, volunteers and interns to recieve medical insurance? email: helicopter9@msn.com

  • JOhn,

Can a c corp pay its employees with shares instead of dollars Like bill gates compensated his employees with stock in Microsoft.

And if i set the stocks to 10,000 shares at ,01 par value, is that allowed?

Can I contractually require employees to not sell the shares unless it is sold exclusively back to the company? And does the employee get taxed on the price of the shares if they have not sold them?

  • I am considering starting a partnership with three colleagues, and we will be pursuing revenue through government contracts (receiving money to perform services for the government). At first, we'll be equal partners, but we may want to add other partners later. Do you recommend we establish an LLC or S Corp?

  • good stuff!

  • Thanks for all the great tips!! Very nicely done. My wife and I make around 200,000 per year at our 9-5 jobs and want to start an online business selling merchandise mainly for tax benefits at first, but hopefully to grow into something. What do you recommend between LLC and S corp for overall tax benefits in the first few years?

  • GREAT VID!!!

  • what if theres only expense and very little or negative income?

  • @RstarNavaja Start with the LLC until your net income exceeds approximately $40,000. At that time, you would want to switch over to the S-Corp. However, if your are already an S-Corp, then leave it. It would be complicated to change it. However, you do not need to pay yourself a salary if the company is not making money. You can do that later when the company becomes profitable.

  • @johnmillercpainc great info! people pay big bucks for this type of info! thanks John!
