hmm i dont really think canavan is that bad but then again if it constantly attacks brain nerve cells im pretty sure it is... i mean it might end up taking away ur control of a body part i think... so yeah good luck with the cures
Please Give your son a huge hug and a huge kiss from me! Tell him who I am. Let him know that I and my Family are praying for all of you. And spreading the word about Canavan disease. Tell him I am PROUD to call his Mommy my new friend. Tell him That I have MS. Please tell him he is VALUED. Tell him That in his lifetime with the courage you all have developed through him, that the Cures for many diseases may be found along the way. God Bless you all.xxxxoooo Violet
@violetmatthers Thank you so much for your message, Violet. We hope our Canavan research will also help find a cure for MS. It is a pleasure to "meet" you.
The video actually asks if you are a carrier for Canavan disease. You can be completely healthy and still carry the Canavan gene which you could ultimately pass on to your children. If a child receives one Canavan gene from each healthy parent, they will have Canavan disease.
@BigWheelaCatPeelaYea: That's the tragedy of recessive genetic defects. One bad recessive gene does no harm (usually), but two of the same bad recessive gene and you get the disease.
Please Google Dr Kamboni Studies in Italy. The Dr who has probably found a cure for MS. The two could be linked. Dr MICHAEL D. DAKE, M.D. also . He is at Stanford . A cardiovascular Surgeon. Please have a look. I find it very interesting. Perhaps connected to your son's Disease. God Bless You.
The disease is genetic. People considering having children can be tested for carrier status and take preventative measures if they are both carriers. The disease can only be inherited if both parents carry the gene. It is not related to vaccines.
what kind of "preventative" measures? either you have children or you don't. Are we to assume that if Jacob's parents were tested then they would have chosen not to have children? how sad
