  • Michael didn't give a crap about Sydney - he treated her like garbage so this 'twist' was a total bust.

  • I THOUGHT IT REALLY SUCKED THAT THEY BROUGHT BACK SUCH A GREAT CHARACTER JUST TO KILL HER AGAIN, I MEAN REALLY WHATS THE POINT OF THAT, WHY NOT JUST LEAVE HER ALIVE, HOW HORRIBLE

  • first of all, Michael's wig in that flashback is ridiculous. he never had hair like that. Second, the whole "people from my past" bullshit was such a copout. They didn't explain any of it logically at all.

  • I figured the people in the cult would be her reason too. Like maybe in the moment she thought it was someone coming after her that would kill Craig next.

Though it was actually an accident caused by Sam's Dad.

And Michael was in the hospital with cuts all over his surgery hands.

  • What I don't understand is that Michael was in the hospital in the season six premiere because Peter threw him into an office window and he hurt his hands. This happened before the accident. The writers remembered that (he had bandages on) but he wasn't working.

  • I remember that Michael never discussed Sydney's death after the accident, in the previous MP. He just said that 'two of my wives are dead', but always Michael knew how to lie. He also not bothered about Syd a lot, but he was alway tried to save patients.

  • That was really morbid. I think this storyline is the fakest crap ever really. Reminds me of Bobby Ewing dying and turning up in the shower or something. Its stupid that they went a whole season or two saying Sydney had died too and not saying anything different. No clue she was alive was there? I mean Craig killed himself didn't he.

  • so sydney didn't get marrid with craig after all. Why fake her death, she had craig. Didn't she love craig ?

  • My take is similar to Melrose200's, the only difference with my theory is that I don't think she was confused about who hit her, I think that was just a mistake on the writer's part. I think she was, off-screen, being stalked by the cult, and she wanted to die when this happened cuz it was a perfect out for her. She really did love Craig, so I think she wanted to protect him.

  • In Season 5, Michael really didn't care. I understand it's forced, but I don't think anything they do with this story can't be forced you know? Michael really only cared about Sydney when she was there to do something sexual for him. But that's Michael. :)

The writers are changing bits and pieces from the past. I really hope they return to why Syd said this here or else it'll be quite a goof. Which would upset me.

  • Your take is very likely :), although the whole thing is a bit forced, writers missed a lot of things that fans remember only too well ;-)

I.e., isn't it weird that the old Michael was willing to risk everything to protect Syd? Were they so close? Mm, I was under the impression (sigh!) that Michael never cared so much about about Syd.

Plus, I remember him saying casually to someone during season 5 or 6: "Two of my wives are dead now. No, I didn't kill them!" XD

  • it was season 7 and i think it was episode 33
