"Quick scope" only works on the console version, because every time you aim down the sights the gun locks on to the enemy. Every gun in the game locks on in this way. PC version ftw - no aim assist.

@denzfuel PC is where people began to quickscope.. Aim assist isn't required to quickscope if you're enough skilled. Anyway aim assist only helps if you're not scoped in so it's not great use when quickscoping.

Try aiming away from somebody while looking down the sites, as long as you're pressing some kind of direction on the analog stick it will track the enemy for you. I've never had my gun locking on in the PC version, so you must have it enabled in the options, noob.

The reason why us console gamers have aim assist is because mice are more precise when aiming, and it's harder to aim with a controller. And aim assist doesn't keep you locked on your targer, it merely makes you drift slightly towards him when aimed near him. And for the record, there is no option to turn aim assist on/off, you elitist PC gaming prick. You aren't special because you play games on PC.

@gloriouscamisado Right. If you notice, every time you press the button for iron sights it locks on to the enemy. Any slight movement of the analog keeps you locked on even if you try to aim away. Battlefield 3 doesn't do this on the console so it's almost playable. Consoles fail for FPS they should stick to racing games, fighting games & RPGs.

And also, you can actually easily move your left analog and take your sights off of an enemy. Dude, you don't get the idea of aim assist. It doesn't lock on for you, it only helps you aim by making your sights drift toward the enemy. Many times it isn't even noticeable. PC doesn't need aim assist because you can be much more accurate with a mouse.
