For example the BMW M5 has a 5.0 Litre V10, without stupid turbos or superchargers and is capable of doing 8.5k RPM, and 507 bhp (Full Stock). If you would give those German Engineers Turbo's or 2 litres more, they would KILL all Japanese and American cars. Let's face the truth. The technically most advanced cars come from Europe.

they do have the most technichally advanced engines right now. but these hp figures wouldn't be possible without variable valve timing. honda was the first to make that useful in street cars. there isn't a european car with more advanced drivetrians than the skylines, evos and stis. and theyve been doing that for over 15 yrs. you can make 800hp out of bmw engines but they are already so close to their max potential stock. they make nice engines but are far from the most advanced cars.
