Just checked this out. Cool groove - nice jazzy interpretation, quite original. But some of the critics are right: drummy is dropping the kick on the one ahead of the beat instead of on top to get the one drop or just slightly behind the beat. Also on the hi-hat, accent on the fourth note of the quintet and hit the kick with the fifth, then you're dropping on the one . It's a reggae ting.

One drop refers to the accent on 3 right? Or just once per bar? This is beat is accented by the snare on 2 and 4 with a slight swing to it. Its a nasty groove lol, but I don't think I'd call this video an example of the "one drop". Just my 2 cents! =)
