@16vrabbitS Are you sure you dont have a chance? What is your bhp, 180-200?? and that in a car that weighs 810-900kg. I think you'd give it a run for its money.
@16vrabbitS From the figures you tell me, your rabbit should work out at 308bhp per ton. (250/0.810 (810kg)) and the STi works out at 320bhp per ton (450/1405 (1405kg)). The weight figures are taken from auto website, so they may or may not be 100%. Im pretty sure about the golf figure, as I have one myself and are a massive fan of the cars. (although mine is a 9a 16v with no mods :( )

@newrez dont know the bhp. i would assume if it ran properly it would be approx 250 ish. the sti has double that and all wheel drive.
