this is a strange little song. much of the story & lyrics seems superficial, perhaps a little shallow. but the lyrics also shine at times with glimmers of insight & when combined with the soundscape, somehow still make for a powerful song.

she was cheating on him with another guy while he was trying to help her, because he cared. but he basically said "I love you, but you keep doing these things that you know hurt me.. even though I care, enough is enough and eventually you have to realize the power to change comes from within, and only you can make that difference." The boy was hurt to let her go, but realized you can only do so much for a person... I've been in the girls shoes, 'cept it was in a different context, minus affairs.
