Just watched a very good documentary on the origin of the heavy metal. All the ol' guys were mentioned. With one exception. Which lead me here. Richie Blackmore is perhaps the (THE) most underrated musician of all time. GOD.

First time I've heard the intro. I've loved this song for many years. Yes, an epic guitar solo which has an arabic influence to it I think. These musicians were truly gifted. Also a great piece of audio engineering.

I used to listen to this album on my turntable more than 30 years ago. Upon hearing it again tonight, one thing is for sure.....the vibe is still very much present. One classic track which will live through the ages for centuries.

It's certainly interesting...but I can see why it was cut from the final album. Too similar to Tarot Woman with a minute-long keyboard solo up front, and the transition into the drum intro is really choppy. Cool though!

This is just a masterpiece,RIP Dio. Ritchie Blackmore is sick aswell n all others who made this tune. I hope when I've done all my music training I can make some tunes like the classics :) Too many people bitchin about rock and metal and music not being as good as it used to be. I say to them, get off ya fat ass n make some then. Learn an instrument and join a band cos if you have good taste, you'll make better tunes than todays music :)

People go on and on about Barbara Striesand's voice, but Dio was a better singer. His range was wider and he could definately hold his notes just as long if not longer. It's no wonder he was often dubbed as the best metal singer. He was the best singer, period!
