A hud like this would not be diffacult to make in real life, just extreamly expensive in the terms of compoenet costs to create the multicolor display or projector. The car tracking on the display would also not be diffacult (idenfitying there make and model or any other exact detail would be extreamly diffacult) As for the basic car information all of that can streamed from the ODB scanner port realtime. depending on the ODB, diagnostic details even tire pressure can be views.

Yeah, I know. I shot this with my phone in one hand and one hand on the steering wheel. The last couple of seconds weren't very steady so I had to cut them and I couldn't shoot any longer, or I would've crashed into that Audi :P I'm working on some more tracking shots.
