  • This song is very heartwarming.

  • Lynne as The Chief and Luna, Noah as Magellan and Bear, Craig Bartlett as Rugrats writer/Hey Arnold! creator/producer of Henson programs/animator of Pee-Wee's Playhouse/husband of Lisa Groening aka the inspiration for The Simpsons' daughter (and the actual sister of The Simpsons' creator, Matt Groening), Mr. Rogers & Pee-Wee Herman & Margaret Hamilton all appearing as Sesame Street guests, Henson being a Peanuts and Oz fan...

Someday you'll find the Rainbow Connection, indeed. XD

  • R.I.P Charles Shultz.

  • TY!

  • Can anyone tell me the name of this tv special? I'm dyin to know! I only remember it being called Snoopy Talks, when I was growing up..

  • "Snoopy the Musical".

  • @tenchiofJurai67 Snoopy doesn't talk. We hear his thoughts just like we read them in the comic strip.

  • @Stephen10528 Well, I didn't know that when I was 5 yrs. old.....I was too caught up. I mean I know NOW, so that's what counts! XD

  • OMG!!! I Rember singing This With them *Starts singing it* :,) Brings Back Memeries :)

  • WOW... this sounds great!! I even saw this when it was on TV. I wonder why it's not on anymore...

  • Does anyone else think it sounds like Matthew Broderick singing this song?

  • It's Cam Clarke, although you're not the first to make that comparison.

  • Who wrote this song? It's really good.

  • Lyrics by Hal Hackady; music by Larry Grossman.

  • Thank you for letting me know.

  • I love this song im in this play at my school

  • FACT:

Disagree with me if you will, but Snoopy's voice sounds like the voice of the 2002 Prince Adam, and Lucy kinda' sounds like Tasha from The Backyardigans.

  • Just so you know, the 2002 Prince Adam I was mentioning in the above was from the Mike Young Prod. Version of He-Man And The Masters Of The Universe

  • This song always makes me sad.

  • we sang this in a drama show we did. but with better harmonies.

  • Would i do that?

Man, where would my life from childhood to high school be without the vocal stylin's of Cam Clarke? Probably about the same, but still he's good, isn't he?

  • Aww, this song is so cute! Even Marcie, Frieda, and Janice(?) are seen in the long line of kids!

  • I think is more powerful than "Happiness!"

  • i agree it is so sweet

  • This is very special! I love the Peanuts gang and the Muppets!

RIP Charles Schulz & Jim Henson

  • @dd1985: Funny that, BOTH geniuses took their own influence from L. Frank Baum's stance when he created Oz, saying, "To please a child is its greatest award. I hope I succeeded...that the children will like it." Funny all the connections these guys have. Margaret Hamilton (Wicked Witch) appeared on Sesame Street, as did man-child Pee-Wee Herman and The Simpsons (both connected by Craig Bartlett, who also produced for the Henson), Mr. Rogers...and more!

  • I don't know why but I started crying while watching this.

  • Extremely cute song! I loved it.

  • 1:56-2:00 =)

  • love love love love peanuts and this song

  • That song should had been song in Annie.

  • They sang this song as Jim Henson's funeral *cries*

Jim and Sparky were two people who had huge influence on the person I am

  • Me too. They taught me how to be a good person and to always try and do the right thing. They really did.

  • I made a tribute to Harry, Ron, and Hermione using this song; I'm going to upload it soon.

  • This Song Always Gives Me Goosebumps

  • I swear, as long as I live, I'll never outgrow Charlie Brown and the gang.

  • Neither will I. Ever.

  • I couldn't agree more with you. Me and my mother make it a tradition to watch It's the great pumpkin charlie brown for Halloween and Charlie Brown Christmas Special for christmas.

  • This song and "Happiness" (from "You're A Good Man") are very nostalgic, and I admit that they make me sad when I hear them, but thanks for posting them. Really great!

  • My pleasure!

  • this is like "your a good man"

  • I love this song. It brings a tear to my eye.

    Rip Charles Schultz!

  • Cute!!

  • this song has SUCH a powerfull meaning to it. never give up on anything! just because one person dosin't beleive, dosin't mean someone elles doesin't, and thene maybe you'll see what that person see's... and you'll relise that it's worth beleiving!

i am in this play as Lucy and this song gives me a lump in my throat at the end of it! i love it!

"...and maybe even YOU can beleive in you too ^^"

  • This song is so great, I love it!!!

  • I really like this song. It's so pure and innocent. It's a nice breath of fresh air, ya know?

  • Believe me, I do!

  • This is a great song.

When Jim Henson died, they aired a special on TV. At the end of it, all the Muppets -- from Muppet Show, Sesame Street and Fraggle Rock all came together and sang this song.

I think they also sang it at his memorial service too.

  • The Muppets also did that song (for the first time, I think) when Bernadette Peters was the guest star in the Muppet Show; she sang it to Robin when he was ready to run away from home.

  • LoneWolf: They did. It was very touching. RIP Walt Disney (the man behind Mickey Mouse), Jim Henson (the essence of Kermit The Frog), Charles Shultz (the true-to-life Charlie Brown), Mister Rogers, Lynne Thigpen (ACME Crimenet's Cheif from Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego), and a slew of others...we miss you dearly.

  • Lynne Thigpen was also in the movie Godspell, and was Luna the moon on Bear In the Big Blue House.

  • @JGCooney: Funny you mention Bear, because Lynne Thigpen (Carmen Sandiego) was on it as Luna as mentioned, the voice of Magellan the dragon (Eureeka's Castle), and Jim Henson's Creature Shop created both Eureeka and Bear. And being a fan of Shulz himself, Henson had requested this song be used for tributes, not even realizing that it would be his own in which the song is best remembered!

  • when i was a little girl this song used to make me cry and it still does but now i understand the song

  • I agree to your statement I too cry at this song. It's pure and innocent as well.

  • This song is one of the most moving and powerful songs in the world. :)

  • I completely agree.

  • I don't care what thing it's from. Muppets, Snoopy, Code Lyoko... I don't care! It's a powerful, beautiful song!

  • Snoopy winks his eye like in the end of Barney and the Backyard Gang.

  • Strange how things stick with you. I must have been really little the one time I saw this special and the song stuck with me but I never remembered what it was from. Thanks for posting it. *sniffle*

  • This is my all time favorite Peanuts special. I love that Snoopy "talks" in this one. I was so happy when this was released on video. Let's hope someday, there's a dvd release as well. ;)

  • The voice of snoopy is so perfect!

  • I agree. He's voiced by Cam Clarke-the original voice of Leonardo and Rocksteady in TMNT.

  • Liquid Snake, too.

  • it's so nice to feel someone believes in you!!!

  • This is wonderful

    need this on my ipod..NOW!:)

  • I love this song! It makes me feel so happy!! I'm going to sing it for my final in 2 weeks.

  • The more I watch these clips, the more excited I get to play Snoopy :D

My high school is performing Snoopy pretty soon, and I get to play the beagle himself ^_^

  • when my high school director retired... a bunch of us alumni joined the current students... and at the end of their show... the lead asked everyone to sit... the music started... and soloists from different grad years came out to sing this song to her.... she was bawling like a baby

  • How cute! I love how woodstock has to jump at the end when they are swaying! SO CUTE!

    At 2:06

  • so cute!!

  • I really love this song, it reminds me when I was a child and used to watch movies with my little brother... Love to have those good memories in mind

  • love this music. the message is so positive.

  • ha ha ha my school is doing a this play...lol im peppermint patty!

  • umm pretty close l0l jk

  • this is all well and good, but what if that one person won't believe in you? is that just tough luck or can you skip right to that second person? and what if two people start believing in you at the exact same time?

  • lmao

  • You have made a very good point. Well said, but i am sure there is someone out there for everyone and if they wont believe in you its your job to make them, anyway i still like the song.

    One of the best.

  • Smartass. =P

  • hahahaha well i believe in you...hopefully no one else is believing in you at the same second that would be weird!! ;] l0l

  • they don't.

  • well then yay i am ur number one fan!! :]] l0l

  • yay!! ok my name is andrea btw sweet whoever u are im soo ur number one fan!!

  • i hereby declare myself, andrea lastunusedname's number one fan!!

  • awesome. my name's Eric...wait a second. i can say my name is whatever i want!

  • your parents have good taste in names.

    that sounded dumb...

  • hahaha ...nahhh trust me if u knew me im like the blondest brunnette u would ever meet i have sooo many stupid moments

  • i dunno. i've met some brunettes who were practically platinum-haired. ever known anyone who forgot their own birthday? i have.

  • haha no well sometimes ill write 6-11-07 instead of the year i was born but i am not displaying that across the internet l0l sorry but yea i miss the year sometimes its weird yea...

  • thats kinda blonde. if only you'd been born in 1907, there'd be no problem. except senility.

  • l0l hahaha no

  • so...before or after 1907?

    tee-hee, i'm one slick customer.

  • haha definitly after 1907 l0l again not dispalying real age!!

  • is it....1936?

  • One of the greatest songs ever! I love it.

  • two of the gteatest songs ever! i love it.

  • One of my favorites from this musical. it still gives me a warm feeling in my chest, especially since it was also used for the Jim Henson Special after his death.

    A wonderful song.

  • Oh man, this song. I still well up a little when I hear this song because it has such an encouraging message. Just like the ending song to "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown." I agree with superlee that this needs to have a DVD format soon.

  • Ah, I remember this. Such a wonderful song. But I don't get why all the kids had to sing with their heads tilted up like that for the entire song. It just looks weird to me. o.O

  • nice I remember this thanks

  • Thank you for uploading this classic.

  • Thanks for the upload! Again, I think people would buy this if it was released on DVD, so let's hope they release this and "Race For Your Life, Charlie Brown" and "Bon Voyage, Charlie Brown" in a modern format soon.

  • Unfortunately, I haven't seen a DVD for any of Charlie Brown's videos, except for Lucy Must be Traded, Charlie Brown, which includes two other classics, and the holiday videos, actually, the most popular classics are on DVD. So there are quite a lot of them.

  • i love this song...it can be hopeful like it is here or sad like when the muppets sang it
