great sound. I like that the edwards copy has the ebony board. Most japanese les paul copies don't have an ebony board, which is a huge part of the custom sound to me!

@Steve0585 Yeah, that's a big thing for me too, but I'm really bummed that they use pearloid instead of MOP for the block inlays. If they'd use real MOP then I'd be all over the 92CD model.

One of the things that make Gibson's higher end (and all binded-fretboard guitars) appealing is binding covering the ends of the frets. There is no point in having a bound board otherwise -to me.. Just more weight.,

Another point to be made is that a Gibson has brand name recognition and will always preserve its value sometimes increasing. Why does just about every star guitarist have one old Gibson in their collection and why are 59 Les Pauls the most sought after and collectible guitar in the world? I imagine that what you meant was that like with Strats their are companies that make great imitations some with more detail to 'luthiermanship'. So lets not confuse issues and be clear so as not to mislead.

soft and subtle jazzy sounds, more percussive and biting rythmical tones, screaming rock leads, a fantastic blues range to mention but these. Its revolutionary body form and 'bellying' are all iconic. Do you think it is by chance that the world's greatest guitarists like BB King (and countless other great bluesmen), J Page, Peter Green,G Moore, P Kossoff, Beck and Clapton (early years),G Harrison,Slash Angus Young (on the SG) all play Gibson? Lets consider this comment rhetorical and proceed..

hood...whilst it is true that Gibson guitars do not always live up to their reputation and the quality of the workmanship needs to be carefully looked at when you buy one your claim that if Gibson disappeared....is one of the most uninformed comments I have ever read. First of all Gibson invented or innovated more key elements in guitar and mandolin instruments than there would be space here to detail and second the Les Paul is the world's greatest and most legendary guitar combining smooth...

Dude, amazing guitar. Edwards is the future XDD. I have a jimmy page relic. The edwards guitar are amazing, 2000 dollars for a gibson is a lot of mony.
