this has to be yulia kutj or svetlana ivanova bcuz they were the only ones who were soviet girls in ub finals that year. my bet is on kutj because she did a tkachev on the low bars in practice at a urs versus usa meet
@afgymnast96 On another vid (search "unknown Soviet") someone has said they think she was polish which would make her Anna Rowna, Karolina Chuc or Aleksandra Szczesiul. 2 of them got 9.250 and 1, 8.075, I'm not sure which would be more appropriate given the fall. Yulia Kuty's routine was nothing like this one at the 1988TokyoCup...would she really change it that much within one year? But there's no POL girls @ the '88 Moscow News so maybe she's none of them either? So frustrating!
@HereWasRachel i know right? i wonder if we could track down throught the coach (i'm guessing it would have been alexander alexandrov if they were at round lake)who it was by seeing if he remembered or if they wrote down their routines. My sister speaks russian so i wonder if there's ome obscure site she could find that would list where they are now or what their routines looked like.
@HereWasRachel the only other thing i could think of is if shmaykel(aka the person who said that the girl was polish) was mistaken with another person. I know someone with a website that may be able to help with that.
Excellent and very unusual and difficult dismount. She is obviously very tiny to be able to rotate fast enough to get a double back off it!!I would love to know who it is; cant see her properly to try and recognise her:(
