in properties, when I check the box "allow other users to connect..." it is not showing me any options or down bar as u showed in video..

it is simple, just go to network connections and click the local area connection(it will be in blue color).

Properties window will pop out...from here it same as in the video

@saiki143 : I have tried all the things ,no success yet,i am using windows 7.I am using "24online" internet LAN connection and the client is "cyberoam".I have successfully created hotspot may times before while using USB internet dongle but got problem with LAN connection.Can you please explain a bit more or post a video regarding "hotspot using LAN connection".It seems many other people facing the same problem when it comes to using a LAN or wired internet.Any help would be greatly appreciated

for me doesn't work. I am on a PC with a usb-stick-wireless. before I could only do ad-hoc with this usb-stick. But android does not see ad-hoc! with connectify software, this stick does not work! I dont know why! And now with mhotspot, still not working. I do exactly like 'how to' and this video.

This doesnot work on Vista. When we click on sharing tab, I dont see the drop down to select the connection below the "Allow other network users to connect to internet using this computer's internet connection" checkbox. If you say otherwise, make a video on Vista and not 7.

Whooo hoooo Thanks a lot dude,i made it work :) i reset the properties and it's working now.

By the way i am using HTC wildfire and that test code is not running on my device(except *#*#4636#*#*)... dialer do nothing when i dial other codes ,i guess those are only for Samsung Galaxy I7500 or other samsung phones.

Dude,I successfully created the wireless n/w but when i try to connect to it using my phone(ANDROID).....The whole process goes through a cycle:1.Scanning...2.Connectin­g...3.Authenticating...4.Obtai­ng IP address...5.Disconnected...6.A­gain Scanning.....and so on...

While in properties it shows :Status: obtaining address…Speed: 60Mbps,Channel:11,Signal Strength: Excellent ,Security:WPA/WPA2 PSK

What's the problem ? Are you sure ANDROID phones support such type of N/W ?

@khytyt : first to clarify you...the n/w is jus AN ACCESS POINT and similar to that of a router's n/w.

now coming to the prob...i think ur device shud be os v 2.2 or earlier...it s actually a bug in the OS for wifi...

so first turn off thw wifi..and dial.. *#*#526#*#* it is for loading the driver again...u can see the message on the scren "wifi driver loading successfull".....

otherwise restart yur device n try it....it will workk 100% sure...confidnt abt this :)
