  • My two year old nephew Gabriel had a lot of questions about fire boats today. And your wonderful movie answered them! Thanks!

  • God, I hope this vessel doesn't get sold or scrapped when the new Fireboats arrive.

  • My father in law worked on this boat for about 14 in the late 1960's-80's. I had gotten to go on a mini tour of the boat in 2005 it was awesome!

  • My Dad, Albert Castle, served on Firefighter for twentysome years.

He was a "wiper" but thought of himself as a marine engineer. He maintained and operated engines. He told me he painted each of the lines in the engine room a different color, I think he said white/steam, green/seawater, red/diesel and blue/freshwater?? On video I don't see it, but I have been told by the crew that major overhaul of the engines was necessary after the marathon operation during 9/11?? Comments?

  • Great video. Very smooth and flowing. Keeps the viewer interested. Great soundtrack use. And Marine 9 - Keep up the good work ! Hopefully the City keeps her for another 65+. As a personal note, I always liked the tower myself, but I guess it just wasn't practical anymore. Louie #1.
