Hmmm... I'm not imprsesed with this video, everyone says this game is better than excite truck, but excite truck looks funner. This excite bots game is probably for kids, and excite trucks is for older people. Either way these excite racing games look better than Mario Kart.

this game is excellent. the trailer focuses on all the weird minigames for some reason, when the racing is acutally really good. The online is great too, 6 racers no lag whatsoever. plus there are TONS of unlockables.

I know where you're coming from on this but I personally think they're releasing those New Play Control games as a way to milk the games. Or better yet as a way of saying "Heres your hardcore game".

And your mention of E3 is also one that could be taken the wrong way. Remember last year? The big annoucements were GHOTD, GTA Chinatown Wars, Wii Sports 2, Wii Music, and lets not forget the big one...the Animal Crossing port that they added five buildings and a bus then claimed it as a new game.

ANY first-party first-person-shooter SHOULD be online! No matter what. Halo and Metroid are very similar, and just look at what MS did to Halo. Genius! Isold Metroid Prime 3 back because of the lack of any multiplayer at all! :(

The first Metroid Prime was the only one that truly followed the Metroid principle. Numbers 2 and 3 weren't all that good. One and Two were also First Person Adventures, while #3 was an FPS.

Halo and Metroid Prime are NOT similar. How dare you compare such an inferior game to it. The online should NEVER be the main component of a game. Look at HL2 for a good example of that.

You're joking, right?  Nintendo based the entire Metroid Prime principal off of Halo. I've never liked metroid due to backtracking, but halo is farrr from inferior. In this day and age, any first-party FPS without online is doomed from the start.

Metroid was ALWAYS a game where you backtracked. Removing that from Metroid Prime 3 was what caused so many fans of Metroid (including me) to hate it.

And Nintendo may of been influenced by the success of Halo (It scored a 97 Metascore as well), they still went along with their own system of games.

But honestly, why on earth would you like backtracking. Metroid Prime 3 couldve gotten around an 9.0 on my rating system, but the lack of multiplayer and the backtracking knocked it down to around a 6.5

Some of you misunderstand this title, let's clear that up (source: NP).

This game is basically Excite Truck 2. They made it easier to control, added all kinds of things, like Wi-Fi with profiles.

As for the bots instead of trucks? They said it was because they were bringing more insane stunts and tricks, but when they tried with trucks, it wasn't very immersing. They wanted wacky designs to fit with the action, so here we are, these designs apparently also play better too, and notonlyinsects

The online game play will lag probably. I have a Wii but i don't have Super Smash Bro's. I went to my cousins house and he has a 3 megabit internet and his wireless signal was 5 bars and super smash bro's brawl was lagging a little online, so i think that excite bots will lag even more.
