god. you know, I really like the music and all, but these live "performance art"-type shows are boring. I mean, don't get me wrong, I love visual stimulation, but I think you can be physical and visual at the same time. By physical, I mean use of actual instruments. I expected to see cables, drum machines, old school keyboards AND dancers and glitter. Peaches is of the same style of electro, but she can pull off all these qualities with a live band

Ok. I was at this show and I saw them again in SF and the show is like performance art. It was crazy fun (champange, blood, glitter, body surfing) and although a lot of it was PLAYED on track, the singing was real and the audience participation was fabulous. It was an art show and a concert at the same time. Visually stunning. You had to be there.

I do enjoy electronica, but I don't think a live performance is worthy if the track is played back from a prerecorded media. Even so, this is one of the worst live performances of any kind I've ever seen, especially on the part of the "artist" himself. The vocals were less than acceptable (the woman was ok, but she just seems like a boat caught in a storm), the movements seemed not to go with lyrics, and the clothes-ripping was entirely useless. That's not even teh type of body to model, really.

Damn these live Fischerspooner shows are always a trip. Very fun to watch. However, I didn't like his little speech in the beginning. I might be misinterpreting, but it sounds like he represents those "counter-culture" types that make it a POINT to be different, rather then just being themselves. Guys that go against ANYTHING mainstream, simply for the fact that it's mainstream. Maybe I'm overthinking this I don't know. But yeah......those type of guys annoy me.
