he says cock ring too much and not to be a "hater" but i have never hear of a falcon guitar and i have been playing for 13 years. so they must not be too famous.
@Syngeanc3 Most Falcons are kind of very less known mostly due to people hearing more about Fenders or Gibsons being played by famous people, like Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page or Jimi Hendrix. Those guys really helped drive people towards Fenders and Gibsons.
I have a 3 pickup guitar (2 singles, one humbuck) , but I want to put in 2 humbuckers, any ideas on how to do this? Or if it's even possible. (It's my starter guitar and I want to make it more up to date)
Hi Pete, i can't find anything on this so i thought you'd be good to ask to get an honest no nonsense answer. I've got an old Yamaha acoustic in the cupboard with a broken neck from a few years ago, i fell over with it while drunk (rock n' roll) i'm wondering is there a way i can change the neck? or will i have to take it to a shop? i want to put an electric neck on it prob a tele and add a pickup and vol and tone pots etc. like you say - do whatever you want to your fuckin guitar.
@peteq1972 It sounds like you have a glue on one peice neck, which molds to the body like most acoustic guitars, It would be possible with modifications to do what you want, but the neck will not work well, the intonation will be wrong, the distance between the 12th fret and the bridge will be off and it won't tune correctly. You will have to do mods to the bridge as well, you might ought to think of maybe taking this job to a shop, or maybe hang it on the wall for memorys.. pete
@522drwagon Thankyou for getting back to me. I did wonder about the distance between the 12th fret and bridge. Changing the bridge etc i wonder if the body would be strong enough. Fuck it, lol, i might hang it on a wall. Loving the videos, and the rants, they make it real. P.S. I've uploaded a video if you could check it out, I'm changing the electronics in my electric, just wondering if i drew it out right. Sorry, you prob don't wanna be no guitar agony aunt, but cheers anyway. Pete Q
You have a good knowlege base and experience. People will likely be more receptive you what you want to teach them if you calm down a little. I do have a question. I have a Jackson PS-4 Performer and in a natural tuning the strings feel really tight and achieving a full bend above FR15 tears calouses. It has a FR trem that is in balance. How can I loosen the feel in a nat. tuning and keep the FR in balance?
lmfao ANYTHING is better than a fender.... (i dont need correction i know they are good for some styles) i perconally think they are ugly as fuck and WTF are u gunna do with 18-19 frets???
@akersjoshuaa What the fuck Fenders have 18 frets? Every Fender I've seen has 21 at the least. And theres a lot you could do with 21 frets, hell theres a lot to do with 12 frets if you know what the FUCK your doing.
no wonder u are cry about not makeing any fuckin money u are to busy fuckin around these here video,to do anything elese ,all u are trying to beg for money so get to work chip foose ,hope your dog gets better ,
@rogerscottburchett1 such a nice ending to your SHITTY comment of a guy trying to help people out for FREE! it shows theres even a little love in the dickheads of the world too...
hhmm...at 5:01 you refer to the nut as the "bridge"...ya you be a pro...also you will find using the proper size hex (Alan) wrench in the first place will work wonders on not stripping the fastener...you keep reiterating the peavey falcons are a valuable collectors item yet you devalue the instrument by hacking it apart. ..what is your problem with fender..? you seem to love fender knock offs...
@squidskunk Lets see--you have watched both videos on this guitar, left slandering comments on both videos and continue to watch the videos. But thats cool, if thats how you get attention more power to ya. Keep on watching and leaving your comments, thats what we're here for, so you can leave comments and feel like your somebody.. Stay tuned for part 3 Im sure Ill say something wrong, or do something out of content that you won't like... Pete
IT's funny that you keep putting fender corporation down while praising peavey corporation for making a copy of a fender guitar. I find that strange, but entertaining. Rock on!
@fargenacle First of all---this is not a knock off of a fender guitar. Fender never made a strat with the kahlor 2720 bridge setup, the pickguard is totally different, the pickups and electrionics are of a different kind. The radius of the neck is not the same, the head stock is not the same, and the body if you look very close is not exactly the same as a fender. You can say the same about all the other knock off cheap imatation junk out there, but this guitar is NOT the same as a FENDER!
@fargenacle One more thing ---about fender verses Peavey--Fender mass produces their guitars, the Peavey falcon was a hand made guitar , when I say hand made, one person started and finished the guitar, not an assembly line. Fender pumps their guitars out like an ice cream factory. People think if it's not a fender it's crap. I say bullshit, Go to a guitar show, and it's not a guitar show, it's a fender show. OVERPRICED BULLSHIT. I could go on but why--I have my opinion and you have yours..
@522drwagon I wasn't aware that the falcon was hand made. But I do agree with you on great sounding cheap guitars. I spend alot of time looking at second hand shops for guitars that play and sound great unpluged. I usually get them for around 50 to 150 bucks. Change out the pickups and do a little set up and shazam! Looking forward to part 3.
@fargenacle Yeah that works sometimes, you can buy a cheap guitar and change pickups out to get a better tone, but what really makes the differance is the wood that is used, for instance Washburn makes a cheap line of guitars, and when I say cheap I mean CHEAP--PLYWOOD BODYS--changing out the pickups in this instrument will do you more harm then good, because the body will not absorb the tone correctly. Always stay away from PLYWOOD BODYS. THEY SUCK!.
@ziggassedup No the pickguard is different, You can't use a Fender Pickguard on a Peavey, it has to be modified to fit. There are Fender Knockoff out there that use the exact same pickguard as a fender, but not peavey. Thanks Pete
@kortt If you search the pawnshops and watch ebay,, around 175.00 to 350.00 depending on the style.. They have several different models.. This one would be the top end model , while the first generation Falcons with the block lettering on the neck --in my opinion--are the low end... Take it easy Pete
