  • hi i dont quite understand the comments , these are very stable helis i have put a ranger down in between wires poles and other junk lying about , you just have to have good feel and purception of you surroundings ,and feel is so important on the cycle , correct rpm , and on climb out , straight up to clear all the below ,,,,,,,,

  • I cannot believe people think this is fake... Turds.

  • people who think this is fake are truly idiots.

  • It's fucking dangerous to have all those wires at the spot. You might think STFU.. but one of our Apaches hit one of those few months ago. USA should consider to place them under the ground.

  • It is amazing that people with a high school diploma have to ask if this is a real vid. clip or not. Worse, people with a HS diploma can't figure out why the rotor blades look as if they are barely turning. Schools need to quit teaching so much crap, and teach stuff that people can actually use so they don't seem horribly ignorant.

  • NOTAR's are so cool

  • rotor eye trick, like when on the motorway I looked across at a mates car and his rims looked like they were goin 0kph, we obviously were not, so the cops say, lol

  • Love helicopters, dislike democrats

  • Was the Victim in a Beamer

  • NOTAR = NO TAIL ROTOR

  • THIS IS MOTHR FINGG REAL most of the dammn ppl on you tube are as dumb as a hobo!!! but the one abuve me in highest rated commens is one of the smart ones!!!!!

  • thats fake the propelers arent going fast ! lol

  • @kiwininja100 dumbass

  • @outlander450 just trollin :3 gess it worked

  • i know what the problem is that nobody believe that this is real.

i'm from germany and most viewers from this video are from germany.

most of them can't understand english very well, they thought when they saw the title that there is an accident caugt on tape.

it's a bad mistake from Germans.

    (sry for bad english :D)

  • @drakebellone It's misleading for fluent english speakers as well lol...

  • NICE HIGHDEFF CAM

  • i live out in the uk, but is this woodland,ca by any chance?

  • ON THE SCENE!!!!! OMG!!!

  • Try turning the shutter on the camera off next time. You don't really need it. (This from a 30 year vet in TV.)

  • @dan1701a good luck seeing anything.....

  • slow helicopter is ssssssssslllllllllloooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwww

  • the bats are very slow

  • the blades look funny

  • Comment removed

  • It's the same as in old cowboy movies, when the wagon wheels seemed to be turning backwards.

  • i like the video :)

    fuck of this "no-brain-people"

  • if anybody can let me know what that beautiful heli's name is, it would be appreciated .

  • @IUkorinI MD902 Explorer with a NOTAR system

  • I heart helicopters AND dramatic music.

  • Yall Gay... :D

  • @superjezz no dumbass. it is from the cam. sorry to be rude but people are so stupid

  • Comment removed

  • @superjezz and somepeople dont know what good sarcasm is :p

  • @SpartanW98 some people dont understand technical terms and such

  • @superjezz thats becouse of the frame rate

  • This is, without a doubt, the most funny and useless thread there is! I absolutely enjoyed reading the comments on this video. Thanks everyone for making my day!!

  • As the person that shot the video, I can guarantee that it is real. While I am pretty good with After Effects, I'm not that good.

The comments previously posted about the shutter speed syncing with the rotors are 100% correct.

To test the theory, take a look at your computer monitor or a TV screen through a video camera. You will see a line moving upwards across the screen. That is the same principle. The screen is blinking in sync with your video camera.

  • @dailydemocrat Great video, thank you. To those who don't understand the sync of the camera/blades, I suggest you do a little research before you make dumb comments.

Thanks to Calstar, and all Life Flight med-helo services for their bravery, and courage saving lives.

  • how the hell is it lifting off!!!

  • That is what helicopters do.... o.o

  • due to the shutter speed of the camera, the rotors look like they're spinning A LOT slower than they really are. it happens a lot when filming helicopters with certain types of camera.

  • the pilot increases throttle and pulls upward on the collective lever to tilt the rotor blades on an angle effective enough to direct the airflow downwards-Therefore lifting the hughes chopper upward

  • its because the frame rate of the film is almost the same as the rotation rate of the blades ie looks like thay are not turning (just like a strobe to check the timing on a car ????

  • I waited for the chopper to crash. I guess I am an asshole.

  • Aff a elice do Heli- Ta rodando muiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitooooo lento assim eu pego uma elice e rodo pra voar O.o

  • this is asouly real nibasols

  • Yea, some real retards in here...

  • Ok, lets settle this...

This video is not fake. The explanation can be found below.

And it is a MD902 Explorer helicopter with a NOTAR system. It uses the Coanda effect for anti-torque thrust. The are 2 slits down the right side of the tail boom that uses differences in air pressure for anti-torque thrust. Also, heading control is done through a large drum at the end of the tail boom that rotates changing the amount of thrust needed to do a pedal turn by the pilot.

  • Gay!

  • how is this fake?

  • THICKSHIT, It's footage of an accident rescue?

  • Haha, chueffer, i really enjoyed that comment ^^

  • morons, the camera fps almost matches the rotor rps, therefore itll show up like the rotors are slow

  • That's the new 6 R.P.M safety rotor system. It goes so slow, if you see it coming for your head ,you can jump out of the way.

  • lol! your joking obviously....right?

  • You moron....

  • People are busting your chops because Cheuffer made a funny and you went all starched underwear and called him a dumbass.. THEN you brought it up again and you got slapped yet again.. So just for good measure, I'm gonna give you a thumbs down on both of your posts because I"m a smartass!!

  • LMAO =P

  • MD McDonnel Douglas Explorer helicopter not MBB

  • Looks like the propellors are going slow.

  • helicopter type is an MBB I think, Messerschmitt Blokow Blohm. Believe a model 119

  • Just to see how fast the Propeller is actually moving, look at the cylinder piece below it.

  • what helicopter model or brand is it?

  • he trapped his foot in the door

  • For you idiots who say it couldn't fly with the rotor rotating so slow. IT'S THE CAMERA NOT THE HELICOPTER YOUR IDIOTS! IT HAS TO DO WITH THE ROTATION SPEED OF THE BLADES AND THE SHUTTER SPEED OF THE CAMERA!!!! FPS + RPM'S

  • lol so true man

  • isn't it sad that you even have to explain it to these fucking retards? I cant believe how stupid humanity is.

  • Correct.

  • Nice look

  • The rotor is in sync with the shutter speed of the video camera so it makes it look look like the rotor is not spinning.

  • yes - in fact is you follow one blade in its path, you can watch how the pitch of the rotor blade changes in its rotation path. This is how the pilot moves the helicopter fwd/back and side to side via the Cyclic stick.

When all blades change pitch at once, this is how the helo goes up/down via the Collective. You can watch this effect when it takes off and lands.

  • @dailydemocrat thank you. no one seems to understand this. The same thing happens at night when a car is near a flouresent light, the wheels appear to not be spinning

  • fuck are you dense. Cameras have been around so many years now this question should be fucking extinct.

  • lol

  • how does the rudder works on this helicopter?it has no tail rotors.

  • there is an exhaust vent in the tail of the aircraft and it blows in the opposite direction to counter the auto rotation of the overhead blades

  • amazing feature.

  • it works by air air is pumped through piped at high speed and when the pilot uses the ruder the head of it turs there forth making the helicopter chage direction

  • Amazing!
