Is there an official name for the music played at :05? As you may remember, back in NCAA '04 they would play it at the start of each game. I'd like to somehow get an mp3 of it and use it as a custom soundtrack in the newer games, so it feels more like the good ole' days.

I haven't played NCAA '11 yet, but I like what I see. It looks like they are going back to their roots and creating a game that FEELS like college football. That's what was so beautiful about this game! Do you remember the coach clapping on the sidelines and hi-fiving the players? That's why I loved this game so much! There will never be a game like NCAA '04. To this day, I can still remember some of the players I recruited. Long live Gabriel Ballard.

I used to hate high school. But looking back, it was the best time of my life so far. I remember a time when I'd come home and play this game every single day. It was wonderful. I loved it. Some day I want to be as happy as I was back then. This game wasn't the center of my life, but right now it's symbolic and represents a time in my life that I want to get back to. Some day my life will be back in order and I will play this game again.

2004 and 2005 were both great games. 2005 on Xbox had slowdown issues. But 2005 on PS2 didn't have the issues the Xbox version had. I think 2005 on PS2 is better game than 2004. I've been playing that game a lot recently. There's a few things about 2005 that make it better, like the matchup stick. (which does add a lot to the gameplay) The interface on 2K5 is better and defensive A.I. is much improved from 2004. 2004 and 2005 were both great games, but on the PS2, 2005 is the better game i.m.o.

The thing about 2005 I don't like is the overall pace of the game-play which is still pretty slow... I have 2005 on my ps2 and I like the game overall but prefer 2004 because of the player motions and smoothness... 2005 cripples your offense by not allowing you to throw a simple corner route to your receiver.... Also the ball will bounce around like a hot potatoes sometimes on defense when you swat it... it's kinda funny to watch.... I do love the home field advantage

@funkyflights - I still play 2004 - in Dynasty mode with SMU or TCU - sliders turned up on All American...or an SEC team with the sliders up - best game of them all and I've played every madden and ncaa....it's the gameplay, it works like a real football game.

they need to show the bands on the field playin the fight songs and spellin out words. when the teams come out they need to show the flags and crap. for the away team they need to have the home crowd boing. 1 feature they have left out in ncaa 08/09 is the bands.... SURE you can here them but where are they in the crowd. Also, they need to get the crowd more alive into the game, on touchdowns the crowds just clap.. in the real games you have drinks and crap flyin and people jumping up and down

I still have 04 for ps2 and it is okay. I like 08 most but the way that they come out of the tunnel in 08 is out of nowhere. In 04 they have more people come out and in 08 they don't. That's all I want to change in 08

Except that a long of people still think NCAA 2004 is better, in terms of Gameplay, than NCAA 08 or 09 have been.

Still the best gameplay on last-gen, IMO.

I won 7 straight national title with Tulsa and was invited to the Big 12 on NCAA '06. Put 102 points on Texas Tech on Heisman. Always have a soft spot for the Hurricane.

NCAA 2005 and NCAA 2006 were great games too. It went downhill on next-gen versions. I still have NCAA '06 on my original Xbox, and still play it today.
