I have been gaming since the NES and I own a PS3, Xbox 360 and PSP. I play most everything and curently I am playing Dragon age 2 and Crysis 2. I can honestly say that I have never played a Dynasty Warriors game in my entire life. So where would be a good place to start? Which game should I buy and for which console? Chinamen kungfu movies had all this crap before the Japs drew it in DBZ. So since its about the three kingdoms period China, it fits just fine. Since the story and operas focus on out of this world martial arts and divine strategies Koei has done nothing wrong here.

I'm very confused on how bad this game play is. I was expecting a dynasty warriors 6 with new fighting style and new stuff, instead they replaced it with bad fighting, no story line, and random small maps you go and kill people on. I really dislike what they did with this game.

DW7 should be more like DW5. Bring back the unique weapon selection, stop giving everyone some type of pole. It also needs to reformat the weapon system, i'm sorry but getting weapons that give better attacks based on combo ranking is just dumb. I WANT TO SEE THE BIG WEAPON WHEN I WALK!

This looks much more interesting than that repetitive gameplay the other installments had. At least for me, mashing the same button over and over isn't my definition of "fun".

It's not that Dynasty Warriors was terrible. But a change is surely welcome.

The whole fun of the DW series is to kill hundreds of nameless warriors as a historic Chinese hero (or, in people like Guan Yu's case, fictitious characters named after landmarks like rivers). DW6's characters were a nice change because they got rid of the anime style characters and made them look more like they would've IRL. This is like DW and Dragon Ball had a lame baby.

Dynasty warriors 5 was the best, Zhou Tai even came in his amazing silver plated armour. DW 6 fucked it up by removing/changing the characters special weapons removing their individuality and they made really crap choices for their attire! bring back number 5 and add 4 player co-op and some new characters and ill start buying their games again.

Man, this isn't Dynasty Warriors... It's DragonBall Z. This is supposed to be based on reallity! I just can't see the good old dynasty warriors feel in this game. Warriors Orochi as an alternative to this, as it has both dynasty warriors' characters and samurai warriors' characters.

To me, this game lost all credibillity.

Well one of the things I loved about Dynasty Warriors was that it was based on the Three Kingdoms period of the Chinese history. Most characters in the game were real people that lived in those days, and the battle were historical battles that really happened. So flying and transformations really turn away from good old Dynasty Warriors style.

Yes i agree at the death tiger quest, i finished it though. the hardest one of the phoenix and the dragon. i have an advice for u. when ur going to die... go back to the place that u started and there will be some circle that heals u and than go back to kill that tiger.

no, im only 11hrs into it and im only lvl 16 (highest is lvl 50 and remember it gets harder and harder, besides when you get to lvl 50 it doesn't mean you have finished it)

i cant tell you much seeing as i haven't yet finished it, but the fighting style is awesome so there will be alot of replay value

i suggest that you should kill Lu Bu (if possible) on top of Bi Xie's head, then kill Bi Xie by attacking the 2 horns. Or try hitting Bi Xie on the face to make her knocked down
