teamtitus5, you are right. I have nothing against the artist today, but its seems, the lyrics in some cases leave nothing to the imagination. Example, when 2livecrew came out with "Me So Horny" they pushed it to see how far it would go back then. Now, its no big deal. Same with the videos. Again, not taking anything away from the artist, its expression. Sometimes the videos have nothing to do with the song its more sexual then anything. To each their own, I guess. Come along way from MTV lol
Sir Mix Alot borrowed from Ozzy Ozbourne for Iron Man. But Iron Man was such a large and iconic song everybody knew who it was. And Mix Alot knew that. Everybody was cool with that. It wasn't a big deal. But when The Pussy Cat Dolls rip this song off for their own "Don't you wish your girlfriend" and not even acknowledge it was originally an 80s rap song from Sir Mix Alot, that's no good man. They would be more respected if they gave credit, and not just once.
@texformer I KNOW RIGHT! I heard the PCD song, and I love PCD, and my dad loves Six Mix Alot, and I was like, Hadn't I heard this song before? I love both songs, but Swass is just bomb.
Wrong album cover. This was the album title track that Posse on Broadway was on. "Swass" had other tracks on it like Ironman, Hip-hop Soldier, Buttermilk biscuits, Square-dance rap, Gold and others.
@texformer And by other femail artists I actually was thinking of The Black Eyed Peas. Totally ripped this song off and did not even acknowledge Sir Mix Alot.
@teamtitus5 Everything from Pop, to Rock, to Rap.. man even Country sounded better in the 80s, and I don't even do Country :) But I'll tolerate some 80s country now and then. Just start looking up 80s Rock Top Lists on here. You'll start to realize how many songs have been remade from the 70s and 80s. Pussy Cat Dolls and the other Pop/Hip Hop bands today rarely do ANY of their own music, it's always lifted. If an artist does that every once in a while.. OK.. but so many today do it TOO much
cracked army incoming...
