TV Color Bars - Distorted with Static and Timecode

what is the point of this. what i mean is why do TV stations do this, why not use the static or that indian card (my question mark key isnt working)

@hitlersucks101 > TV stations use the color bars to set the broadcast signal's luminance and color levels so that they would comply with broadcast standards. The old Indian test screen worked fine for black and white focusing, but the color bars were added when TVs went to color in the 60s.

Helps download other kinds of media files that certain websites won't allow you to get at by disabling right-clicking, like images and some music files that aren't attached to flash media players.
