I hope he is alive. I rolled my vehicle and was chased by the police and jumped in a lake at 1 in the morning, hid in the bushes. The cops left after an hour, no helicopters, but I got away, lol. But I hope this dude is living.

Early on, they should have dispatched at least one helicopter with thermal imaging equipment and one or more boats with sonar equipment to sweep the area. Somebody there apparently dropped the ball, because even small communities routinely request regional and even state resources be mobilized when a child, for instance, goes missing on a lake or river.

at this point, even knowing the strength of the Mighty Mississippi River, one would think the Coast Guard would have been called in. I would say find out what you can and cannot do legally for the search tomorrow. I don't mean to be so gruesome, however that current as people known down here can travel down river fast. I wouldn't be surprised he'll be found in the next few days some miles down river. Hopefully sooner, for his family.

That's some crazy shit. If that happened in Pittsburgh there would be a dozen boats dragging the river. I know that because in the last two years this exact thing has happened twice. Guys being chased by police have dove into the river. One was rescued by the police after he went under. The other one's body was found 2-3 hours later by one of the six boats that were searching for it with sonar units and grappling hooks.
