Don't get me wrong I'm sure these rollers R good 4 some ppl, but I found they're useless 4 my stubbornly thick N straight hair, the length probably dosn't help either, last measured @ 4 ft. long..N I am only 5'4 lol U do the math, I have 2 admit it gave me some volume, but I suggest if U have hair that's longer (the middle of your back) length, u may want 2 get better clips, as the ones that R included won't hold as well..hope this help 4 long haired girls! P.S.Ur so pretty, thnx for uploading!
i have very very straight long hair, do you think that these will work for my hair? also what exactly are the hot rollers called? are they the conair ceramic jumbo rollers?? thanks so much!
@Prima20Ballerina I went out and bought the same rollers, as I have long (past my butt) hair that is stubbornly straight, I tried them out and after the 4th or 5th try, they now sit on the top shelf in the back of my closet, just you know, and I paid fricken about $50 bucks for mine.. so now I stick with a curling iron, and use glue (hair glue) prior to curling I find this keeps the curls in ALOT longer..be sure to use heat protectant though, or you'll fry your hair..lol!!
Thanks for the review of these rollers. I just ordered them on Amazon and am excited to get them! I'd like to know more about how you section and roll your hair - which direction you roll them in, etc... I think we have similarly textured hair (long, thick, and a bit "heavy") so I'm excited to see you get such great results!
I had a quick question, I wanted to know if you blow dried your hair before using the curlers and if your hair is naturally straight. I almost bought these exact curlers today but second guessed it because I didn't want to have to blow dry my naturally curly, frizzy hair first. I just wanted to have the big perfect curls after it dried naturally. Thanks for the video either way.
kay, i have like prettty long hair, and im looking for a reallly goood hot rollers, im just wondering if the rollers you were useing would like curl my hair the way it curled yours, ? :)
I knew the best place to find advice would be on you tube! You were the first one that came up and appreciate the tutorial! I'm allowing my hair to grow since I've had medium hair length forever in a day and since it's getting long I needed this before I was going to go crazy and do the unthinkable so thank you for your videos!
If your hair is thin, will these work well? I just googled these rollers on Amazon and looked at the comments and there many folks who just hated these and said that the clips left marks in your hair, do you feel like that was true?? I'd love to have you read those and let me know how you might answer their questions and complaints, maybe they were using the wrong product or not enough. I've got shoulder length, not thick hair, do you have to have long hair for these to work properly? lisa
if your hair comes right to your shoulders then these rollers (I have the jumbo version) maybe too big to roll all of your hair. If this is the case, go with the regular size rollers (large, but not jumbo). No, my set came w/ thick clips made of plastic, which have never made any indentations. I think those that have the metal clips saw the indentations. Yes, I believe that even if you have thin hair this product will work well. Just remember to put gel/mousse in your hair before rolling. =)
I used Chi Silk Infusion, but I realize now that using Chi silk infusion made my curls go limp, b/c of the oil in the product. So now when i use my rollers, I just use some mousse and a curling gel from Redken. After I take the rollers out and the curls have cooled, I spray w/ hair spray.
aw, you're really adorable! i'm glad you posted this because i'm of south asian background too and find that our hair is just so different from other hair types. unfortunately not too many reviews out there for our hair type.
one question though: what hairspray do you use after? and is it available in Canada too (or online)?
I use one from Back to Basics "Sunflower: Firm Hold Hair Spray" it costs $9.54. The company number is 1-800-456-9322. Hopefully they do make it in canada. If not, I'm sure you can buy it online somewhere. Let me know how it goes!
However, I believe any good quality hairspray should get the job done, as long as it's firm spray.
Before I curl, I put chi silk infusion in my hair, just a tad-bit. And that's it! I use hair spray after i set my hair in the curls and after i take the curlers out. Thanks!
your hair looks gorgeous!!, i too made a video on my hair if you want to check it out, the curls are similiar. and yes I love the curly look on you. I don't think i could do curlers though, it would take me forever to do it i think.

Hi, I am having a hard time using the clips...is there a trick to it? I find the curler falls.
xsmcdonald 2 years ago
i always try to clip them to my scalp...if that makes sense. this way, the roller stays stuck to my scalp. Try it! =)
heavenlyangel985 2 years ago
Wow. I've tried that but it's uncomfortable. I switched to a different brand. But keep up your great videos! Love them..
