yep a strainer. WHen I first saw this video, I though that end looked like a diaelectric union, then after looking closer, I see the o ring and realized its a cap.
A nitrogen purge was obviously disregarded. Is that a dielectric union there? Why would that be in a refrigeration system, unless it was a chilled water line?

A nitrogen charge. HAHAHA. The customer barely pays for NH3. This is what happens when you work in Mexico. Strainer ,filter you understand.
