I did once have a copy of the whole gig of this La Locomotive performance. They played The Well of Loneliness as well, Monetaries, Frans Hals, and more. . I'm wondering if you, lazygrae, are willing to upload the whole thing. Cos it really brings back good memories. I'm sure many others will appreciate it, too. Thanks for uploading this anyway!
Apart from Malcolm having a Roger McGuinn haircut (they did cover a Byrds song) everything else is how I remember them, John's Rickenbacker bass and Gary using beaters for Red Sleeping Beauty. Thanks for uploading it.
I'm puzzled as well. The sound is unmistakably McCarthy but they look nothing like them. I saw them live in '88 and they definitely looked different then. But why would anyone fake a McCarthy vid? It makes no sense. Weird.
How right you are vilepete, so thanks to you my comment has returned! If this really is McCarthy then I suggest it must be really early, say 1985/86 and definitely not 1987. lazygrae needs to post more footage of this gig to convince me that I'm watching one of my all time favourite bands.
why did you remove the previous post? I read it and there was nothing wrong with it? In fact, it´s funny to think this could be a fake: it would be a glorious and fabulous fake!
Magnifique!!!!!

It sounds like McCarthy but it sure as hell doesn't look like McCarthy! I cannot recall ever seeing Malcolm Eden with a mop top. Ho hum!
