i love this theme i cant get it out my head and you wish you could hear if you walk a endless hall and defeat all the enemies and this is awesome and i listening to all the time and unforgettable classic forever and i miss playing the megadrive me and my brothers used to have and i followed my brother like in games and i have been a gamer ever since then i still love them after all these years :)
This tune is on my MP3 player workout playlist. Best video game music ever. Whoever decides to sample this or remake it will be sittin on gold (assuming they do a good job of course)
this level is the unholy level of bitches and not once (not counting playing 2 player with one of my relatives) have i completed it 1 the amount of enemies in the level, 2 the bosses are 2 times more relentless and 3 when you get to mr x you could just fall all the way back to lv 6
Ahh the early 90's....the beginning of the last great era of video games, music, and televsion. SNES was cool but Genesis had all the best video game OST's.
@TheBeatable You don't have the cop cars backing you up this time, so you can't just spam them to death like you could in Round 5. The girls are not what kills you, tis the time limit.
@TheBeatable yeah i remember back when I was a kid and I used to play. Those 2 green bitches i couldn't get a hold on them cause they was always jumpin and flippin all around the place. I would eventually get em but it would take forever lol
This music always reminded me of a Cuban drug lord's mansion, because back in the 89(was 8) when my bro and I moved from NY to Miami FL (didn't like it, sorry to anyone living in FL lol). The neighborhood looked nice but there was an empty house way down the block my bro and I went inside looking for our dog and we saw guns laying around the house definitely kinda creepy and we were gone quick lol- then in 92 played this and when I heard this music I remembered that little experience lol
Definitely the best music of the game but damn was this level hard. Having to face ALL the previous boss's and then the main boss at the end with the machine gun!
@OnlyPatriciaM Really? What I used to do was stand still on the left side of the screen and just backward punch when they came near me ;) It works everytime, if you play the genesis game again try it!
The game's plot is kind of silly (one or two cops manage to stop a crime syndicate by beating up a bunch of guys without weapons?), but the feeling of a corrupted city that's fallen under the pocket of criminals is expressed so beautifully by the music in this game. It's rather haunting.
@Aaronthegreatest I know im kinda late but i have actually heard that this is suppose to be based on true events any idea on what the events were or when this all took place?
i remember stayin up all fuckin night as a kid playin this game. And i used to get to this stage right as the sun's coming up....jus like in the game. Makes you feel like a fuckin hero for the day after beating Mr. X
Love the super low-bass sections in this. Back then, there was no way you were going to hear that through your tv, lol. Nice to use it wake up my room-mate, 18 years later.
i also disagree with you too zabeon.the music on maximum carnage was nothing compared to streets of rage 1 and 2 and some of 3 but maximum carnage has nothing on streets of rage
@gangstabudd4 I couldn't agree with you more. Really wish they would bring this masterpiece to the big screen but actually respect the material, by not pulling a Hollywood of let's just shit on the source material, and try to make money off of it.
@gangstabudd4 I think the music can be characterized as techno. Amazing song to one of the best beat em up games made. Like the NFL On CBS, and NFL On Fox themes there are no words but the sound is terrific.
this is the best song in Streets of Rage 1!!
