I see a lot of negative comments about this movie and I don't understand...Yes..Creative license was taken, but that is true with any "Based On A True Story" movie...The message was still forgiveness over everything else and it was WONDERFULLY done...Excellent Movie!!

Don't let this preview fool you. What could have been a memorable movie about a genuine tragedy was treated in the usual Hollywood way: cliched characters, made-up incidents, and an "Amish" countryside that looks suspiciously like Southern California. Even the authors of the book this was based on distanced themselves from the film.

Idk what some of these comments are talking about. They don't make any sense. I watched the movie last night. No matter how you look at it,the fact is that it was a very sad matter. Charlie cudve talked to somebody bout his hurt,(a pastor) He didn 't have to go into these classroom and killed those girls, he didn't have to take his hurt out on anybody. It really hurt me cos he did this crime instead of talking to his wife,or a pastor or somebody. It was hard to understand the Amish 2 4give him.

@Lovelyladybug12ify well, in the movie, it wasnt about how charlie felt. he did what he did and nobody could change that. yes it was horrible. it was mostly about how to deal with it and move on with life. the lady who played the amish mom was a very good actress

I saw the movie and I thought it was a great example of the difference between one the truely has LOVE in their heart and how murder develops.The man that did the shooting let hurt undelt with, turn into bitterness, anger and hatred which is sowing the seeds of murder.The mother learned a valueable lesson from her daughter that was murdered she was willing to forgive the shooter from the very start.She showed LOVE and not hate,sure sounds like Jesus who many CLAIM to follow.

I am watching this movie right now and it is a DISGRACE !! I love how they make it look like the Amish regret their religion . They are the only one left on earth that are pure and simple so message to Mr. and Mrs. Hollywood ...quit dumbing down CHRISTianity and CHRISTians !!!

i lived next 2 the shooting and my kids went 2 school with his kids the kids and amish do not need this they want 2 movie on with life this movie is shit let the amish live there life in peace and yes the mother of the kids that deid they did stay in black for 1 year
