@DazeyLin Its about destiny of straight person who lived in medieval times, people just didn't know what the Fortune has for them and in this poem it's shown. Fortune is like the moon who changes every month and because we don't know what would happen in our lives we just can do our best. It can be about comparision like God as Fortune if someone prefer this, because Fortune is showed so powerful and unpredictable. People were afraid because in medieval they was dying very early.

You're right, for there is no "michi" in Latin. But actually in the original "Carmina Burana" stands "michi" in place of "mihi" in several cases.
