I'm sad they removed blood decals. But hey, coulda been worse, WAR for instance doesn't even have blood splatters.

And about the atmosphere in this video, it comes from the players themselves, now they just don't play the game like that. No matter what Blizzard do now the drone-like behavior of the majority of players is not something they can hotfix.

They do however bare responsibility for breeding such a community for the sake of appealing to a larger audience.

Hi peoples, i started to play WoW around early 2007...And the preview looks nothing different than what it is now. lol. But my question is, Was WoW(when it first came out) the same as it is now? Was tehre as many zones and stuff? Someone answer

I totally agree with fireeater... I played beta, the game was wonderful, when it was finally released it wasnt as great as I thought it would be at release, but I still loved it anyway... Once TBC was released I just quit WoW altogether, World-PvP was destroyed... good bye molten core :(

THIS game looks fun. I wish WoW was anything like this game, but stupid blizzard listening to QQ noobs saying the game is too hardddd keep watering down the gameplay for them and not to mention BC ruined pvp with resilience and made PVE even bigger when WoW was supposed to be more about PVP instances were just for getting gear to use in PVP.

@fireeater36 Thanks for saying the truth, the game is still fun, but it's far from what it was before... Just watching this, and old videos, the game was fun then, it was freaking awesome. Yes, some class had problems, but it would be fixed now, they should make 1.11 servers, since there's no private servers working ONLY on 1.11...

@fireeater36 I know this is a three year old post, but really. WoW is a pve based game, pvp was never supposed to be in the game, the players begged for it. In production, pvp was an after thought, and still is.

And the bit about how resilience killed pvp, no. It saved pvp, image the damage you would be getting now if resilience was never introduced, you would have a 'whoever can crit first' match and that would not be very fun.

one reason it takes so long is because of all the patches..its horrible but the game is wonderful =D

Iwish the Arena was actually like that where everyone would crowd up and it'd fight like that but the way it turned out is still amazing i love the game ^_^fun watching the old videos

And yes, at the time, this was extremely good gameplay and graphics. In fact, compared to most games, these graphics and the gameplay STILL outmatch more recent titles!

They'd have an EXTREMELY hard time to buff up their graphic level if another game started out with better graphics. But for now, WoW is unquestionably better than most if not all MMO's.

i swear to my mother that to play wow i had to talk to dell for about 14 hrs all together, buy a new hard drive external 500gb, cd rom drive, 60 game card, buringing drusade it self FOR ABOUT 1 and 1/2 weeks waiting.!!

Why would you need an external CD drive? The game doesn't even need the CD to play. Also, you could have picked up Burning Crusade at any store...
