Only somebody with the Spirit of God in him speaks the way Pete did here. He was and is living testimony to the Power that comes through Faith in Jesus who is the Christ. Praise God in heaven for what He has done. I love how Pete is quoted as saying, "I want to be remembered as a Christian, a person that serves Him to the utmost, not as a basketball player."

He went on to join his earthly as well as his heavenly father less then a year later. Im more proud of him accepting Christ Jesus as his Lord and Savior then anything he ever could have done on the basketball court.
