  • Not available in my country? I live in the US, what is this, I don't even...

  • This version is techno-gay....

  • Not better.... this is crap!!!!

  • Hear*

  • I always here this at the gym

  • LOL I Heard This Song In The Top Thrill Dragster Roller Coaster @ Cedar point when i went hahah every time i got on it, They played this song over and over xD i like it tho!! It Fits for TTD!!

  • @QueLePasaQueTaRetra Not really....Metallica's Fuel would have been a far better choice.

  • I am listening to this to get ready for my Cedar point trip!!

    cant wait!

  • Well, you can debate keyboards vs. guitars in the U.S. version all day - but I think one thing is certain - the U.S. version with the guitars makes this sound still modern today with the synth keyboards making this sound more 90s. I'm not sure which one I like more - but this song still kicks ass regardless. :)

  • This was me and my old flatmates sign for "Are you ready to party"

  • @blackboykwayne1990 I think I may be wrong about that. I tried looking for it, but I think I was confusing it with either another song, or a different commercial.

  • @blackboykwayne1990 Nice! I remember Mitsubishi used this for the Eclipse, if I remember correctly here in the US back in the 90s.

  • Making a 90's playlist this is the first one!

  • The differences between the European and US version is in the background/solo music. In the original slightly less successful European version, they used keyboards primariliy (this video) In the US version which when this is posted, has an additional 250,000 views on You Tube, they switched out the keyboards for guitars, giving it a "harder, rock" sound. The newer sound nearly a year later did well in the US, getting the song to the pop top 10 - their only hit to go that high to date.

  • i remember high school , this was so popular

  • Badass.

  • 1997 actually.. '95 would be a bit early.

  • uh isn't this the song they play in the station for Top Thrill Dragster?

  • 71 People weren't ready to go.

  • Reminds me of the Philadelphia Flyers! They would play this when the Flyers hit the ice. Love this song. Love the Flyers more!

  • Baby, I'm ready to smoke

    I'm baked & I'm ready to toke

  • I think it sounds better coming out of the muffles speakers in the line to Top Thrill Dragster

  • brb need to go study for a really hard test in a montage to this song

  • Can't listen to this without thinking of Ichiro gunning people down

  • Thanks

  • well standing in line for top thrill this song gets annoying hearing it every time a a coaster is launched

  • @TOGA4808 i liked hearing it in line

  • Makes me think of Cedar Points TOP THRILL DRAGSTER

  • Top Thrill Dragster!!!!!!

  • Omg.... right!!!!! I love that coaster.... i worked there right next to it. Hearing that song when not even on the ride just gets u pumped

  • Fairly decent east end neo-disco...I suppose.

  • Wow Saffron is so hot

  • Perfect 90s blend. Sassy chick-led British grunge rock with high energy processed tech and house riffs.

  • Baby, I am ready to BLOW!

:) Just kidding. great song BTW.

  • Who are the 70 morons that thumbed down?

  • is this the dance version? still good.

  • I remember this wonderful song being played several times a day in M2 in 1996.

  • omg i luv this song sooo much

  • Republica hare reformed and are rehearsing at the mo.

  • @1978rmj , do you know their website? I can't seem to find it or any info on the net regarding the band.

  • They have an official page on Facebook showing very recent pics of the band rehearsing in a studio, their website is currently under construction be should be up soon.

  • TERRIBLE spin on this track!!

  • This used to make me want to speed when I was driving long distances listening to this. It's a rush!

  • Fab! Never get tired of hearing this - this song will always be the World cup for me!

  • always dug this song, which is weird because I'm more of a metalhead then anything music wise

  • @Eganthevile1, I'm also a metalhead, and I always liked this song too. The US/rock version of this song is a lot better. Check it out in my fav's.

  • Aay ditto. I love metal ..I love this also. lol

  • Dude!! Same here!! what's up with us metalheads!!

  • Awesome song, didnt really get that much air time unfortunately back in the mid 90s

  • I remember this track all too well. One of my favorites although I might not be too vocal about it.

  • How can I have missed this track back in the day? It's awsome!

  • This is gonna sound kinda typical.. but I prefer the US/ Rock mix version. It's more energetic and more jump around-y :)

  • This video is singlehandedly responsible for ruining my attention span

  • This is one of the few music videos I actually enjoy watching (and not just listening to).

  • Gumball 3000 Tune

  • Great Classic.

  • I feel Vampire old hearing this, lol. So many Artistic eras have passed now. From my days of heavy metal burn out kid from the 80's with acid hippy rockR$B 70's roots ~to 90's Republica-tudes ~to 2010 Euro-Trash funkadelic cid trip electro clash remixes. Yeah, time flys. Life is precious. Don't waste it stuck in artistic timewarps. I almost forgot how hot Saffron was "chicken hop" dancing in this video, lol.

  • this was my 90s fighting song! baby, im ready to go!...now its like its like break up & ready for the next one! baby, im ready to go!

  • Good. I used to like REPUBLICA. - And that comment, LOL) "She is jumping like chicken" - I almost fell off my chair

  • Still sounds great today a true classic stands the test of time

  • she is jumping like chicken :D and this old camera effects make my phoby

  • 1995!?!?!?!? Say it ain't so. I can't really be that old, right? It seems like just yesterday they played this at junior high dances. Where did the time go?

  • @tmua23 :( I'm asking the same thing...... life is sooo short....live is wisely

  • one of the best songs of the '90's.

  • absolutely officially official!!! this was the original version then the u.s made a version to appeal to all of the suicidal teens of that era. this was the start of everything!!!!

  • @jamiemetz100 Oh yes, blame the US for the other version. I don't recall America forcing Republica to change their song so it could be broadcasted. You stupid cunt.

  • @Orangys280Z ....LMAO....thank you!! I get tired of these Euro-weanies and other shit stains blaming the US for everything....even the dog shit in their breakfast....

  • @CoastGuardIDC Yeah, it does get a little annoying, just a little...... haha

  • didn't know there was a dance version. is this official?

  • This is the original version. The rock version was the american version which was released in the Uk as well.

  • do elastica plays this song too??

  • woo this version is so much better. u.s had to go and ruin this one. wtf! her voice sound so much better.plus the beats are cool.

  • hahah you have got to be kidding me.... this version is SO LAME... the U.S. rock version is like 10x better omg!!! That one was such a hit

  • @jamiemetz100 ....Yeah, it was Bush's fault....

  • @jamiemetz100 i just have two questions: why does there have to be watered-down versions of EVERYTHING for the u.s.? are we not capable of handling the uncensored versions?

  • @jamiemetz100 nah dude. The U.S. version sounds so much better. Not techno-y. Not even power guitar, just very simple chords that makes you want to get up and dance. This has techno beats that might be cool during disco, buuuut disco died. Sorry to disappoint you.

  • @blabmouth02 Lol this is nothing like techno. It's a freaking wicked tune (I loved it when I was a kid) but it's just cheesey eurodance. Both versions are fine for different reasons. And disco never died, it just left the mainstream.

  • @jamiemetz100 Would you like to touch my monkey?

  • @jamiemetz100 I disagree, the US version is much better, this is gay ass techno version. The original version is one of the best songs of the 1990's.

  • vegas vacation with the griswalds!

  • :D Thanks for reminding, that was hell of a movie :D:D:D PAPA Georgio! :D

  • this was fun

  • Wheeee! Lots of happy memories with this song :-)

  • I remember that they would play this just prior to the start of every Padres game from when this song came out til about 2003 when they left Jack Murphy/Qualcomm Stadium.

  • This song has always been dangerous to my health! Especially when it comes on the radio while behind the wheel of my '69 GTO.

  • 90's ftw.

  • Much better than the rock version!

  • The 90'S RULED!! SO DID THIS TUNE

  • My god such a nostalgia...

  • Top Thrill Dragster

  • I remember this song attached to a movie trailer or TV commercial for a movie back in the '90s.

    I wonder what it was...?

  • Thanks

  • awesome video and singer

  • Rock from the 90's !!!! BRING IT BACK

  • I Love Her

  • recuerdos..

  • Exactly 1996

  • shout it out:

    BABY IM READY TO GO!!

  • what happened to them? i saw them live in bristol about 12 years ago, met a fit pair of dirty bitchs there and got the ride.... was a great night !

  • love this song, shame about the life span the group had

  • technically the band has never broken up. In 1999 their website stated 'Republica are not recording at this time" and thats been the official line ever since. 10 years and counting.

  • Love it love it love it!

  • I'm inclined to agree with you, lacks the guitar energy of the original and doesn't pump along.. feels like you're always waiting for it to really get going

  • ...mmmm.

    This was actually the original.

The "rock" mix was made later when they changed their sound a bit, adding the guitars.

I quite like both of them. Same song with same level but different kind of energy.

  • Oh was it? LOL..shows how much I know.. but nevertheless, I love the rock mix... thanks for putting me right

  • BABY IM READY TO GO!

  • all right, grab something baby, cause were leaving this shit

  • This great song reached #56 in 1997 (U.S.)

  • Awesome tune!

  • oh saffron!

  • strange though... i always remembered a bit where she wrote "republica" on a window or something. is this the original video clip?

or maybe my memory is a bit fuzzy.

  • I think tht might be in the Drop dead gorgeous video she writes it in lipstick

  • yea the original was the window writing one ow

  • i remember watching this on rage when it first came out (i think i was 13). it blew my mind.

    i still have the single.

  • Time has not been kind to this song.

  • Listen to the Veronicas, they're doing hardly any different music - today. This song still rocks!

  • i missed those times!!

  • ..gorgeous song! A smasher from 1996! ready to go!!!

  • WOTEVAH! GET A LIFE!!!!!!!!!

  • watch them perform live in 2008 - vids have been posted by loopyleigh111

Just search for Republica Reunited 2008

  • i love this version so much more than the version with the electric guitar! i think the other version just slows down the song!

  • this version really sux

the one with the electric guitar is the best!

  • ~ I'm standing from the rooftop shouting out baby i'm ready to go ~ Cool ! xx

  • I like the American radio mix better. The guitars - badass as hell. Still, this is good :) hope they record again

  • i love how this is the top thrill dragsters song

  • I always thought the lead singer was asian, but I just noticed she isn't! It doesn't make any difference, but wow I noticed until now!

  • I think she's mixed - chinese and portuguese parents,

  • Yes, and she was born in Nigeria

  • I want them to record again! :(

  • This tune is jokes, remember it from LONG ago!

  • Nice song. Cool video.

  • that car in the background looks interesting, i've never seen anything like it before. does anyone here know what brand and model car that is?

  • This is the Theme song for the Top Thrill Dragster in Cedar Point. I heard it a hundred times while waiting in line. lol

  • I was on my early 20s when this came out and brings me back very good memories of the 90s jive, jumping at the pubs and parties. But the decade degenerated a bit with the arrival of techno.

  • they play this song on the top thrill dragster

  • and it rockz!!!

  • Ha! yeah i know i just got back from riding that

  • me encanta
