oh wow what a song, just makes me forget all troubles and pain in my life,i wish that i was born in their lovely era, present world everything is so fake no real emotions, love this song the movie, audrey will always b an angel and fred astair's voice is.........wow this is true love
I am really in awe of the beauty of this scene in Funny Face. Fred Astaire's melodious voice, the beautiful melody of "He Loves And She Loves", and the amazing dance of Audrey Hepburn with the king of dancers--they are just fabulous. I was even shedding tears before I started writing this comment.
VERY,VERY BEAUTIFUL LOVE SONG ELENA.THOSE WERE THE DAYS,WHEN PEOPLE WERE ABLE TO SING DECENT SONGS.WHAT A GREAT LEGEND! THANK YOU FOR SHARING MY FRIEND.
Can someone tell me where this scene was filmed ? What is that castle type chapel there ? Is this the Chateau De Vincennes in the Bois de Vincennes, a large park in the East of Paris ? Or is this outside of Paris somewhere ? What is this place ? It's so beautiful! Is it still there ? I'd love to visit this place.
I belong there too. I've always said I'm a man living in the wrong time, wrong century. Give me class acts like Fred, Audrey, George Gershwin any day!
Yes, the fifties were wonderful but you have to remember that this is the movies. We also had the HUAC and the McCarthy period in the fifties. I agree with you, don't get me wrong. My only wish is to have lived in the 50s and 60s for the very same reasons as you. Just mentioning that it wasn't a fairytale compared to today.
Thanks for posting this! As many times as I've seen "Funny Face" over the years, this last scene never fails to bring a tear to my eyes. One of the prettiest movie endings ever - and what can one say about Astaire and Hepburn that already hasn't been said? S"wonderful!!
yeah, but no youtube, cable tv, ipods, macbooks, and racism was the norm ;) = not so good after all... What we should be focusing on is the values that prevailed in the 50's...
How times have changed, and not for the better. Here's a combination of Gershwin, Astaire, and Hepburn in a clip so beautiful it'll bring tears to your eyes. They just don't make 'em like this anymore.
I just visited this little chateau this week. It's le Chateau de la Reine Blanche, and is a 50 minute walk through the forest to Etangs de Comelle near Coy la Foret in the Oise and it looks almost exactly the same today as it does in the film. It it is enchanting.

He is there to take her picture for the magazine that she is a model for, but Fred doesn't know that she is in love with him.

I remember getting very thrilled to see this scene for the first time. And I immediately
loved the mesmerizing tune of this song. Fred Astaire has been a great dancer and
will remain peerless. Thanks for posting this clip.
