Tengo una ducati monster 900 tambien, y esa maquina despega asi mismo de rapido. con solo 3 marchas y ya estas sobre los 150km/h

@23dpt jup, wat hij deed was leven gevaarlijk op twee wielen 200 rijden op een kaars rechte weg stel je voor, wie weet kreeg hij wel een klapband of stak er een blinde gieter over....

netjes gedaan en in mijn ogen niets verkeerd..

zie op de snelweg dagelijks gevaarlijkere actie's van mensen die 120 rijden .. of 110 dat soort lui verdienen een kapstok artikel.

I know the duc 900ie engine from a Cagiva gran canyon those engines run beatifull, so linair way better than a non desmo 90 v twin ever can.

LOL @ the SV650 faster... dude, learn to try bikes before you speak. No way a SV650 will EVER be faster than any Ducati, except a Monster 600 or 620 maybe. ;)

@Petrucci83000 ducs arent as powerful as people talk them up to be. any bike of the same class ussually has the same power ducs have more horses on paper then they show but as someone already said its all about class and power isnt everything. they still got more then enough power. the monster 400 is quite weak at only 40hp as it is a learner legal bike.

a ducati isn't about speed, or Pure power. But it's about class. I had an SV myself, really loved the bike. But now i bought a monster, with less power and speed but just class, a ducati keeps turning peoples head. Don't think your girlfriends SV does that.. Unless she is driving topless

I got a M900,2 cilinder with 2 valve's! 68,7 pk on the back wheel.Not so much maybe...

But with acceleration it's not only the HP that counts!The torque is very important too!

A L-twin (Ducati)got almost all torque from low rpm and it holds on till high rpm,so in a long range you get all the torque the bike got!Thats why Ducati's with <100 hp still accelerate so good!Sounds great,looks great....what else would you want?

An ugly bike that is 1,5 sec faster?No way...give me the Ducati!

I haven´t got any videos of it but a recording on my mobile phone where it does 60-160 in about 4, maybe 4,5 sec.

But my bike has twice the HP´s, that´s why. Ur bike sounds good for a Ducati though .... ;-)

@andindi I kill bandits with my Yamaha raptor quad, my Monster 900 Senna eats the bandit for breakfast man!! Even though the bandit has more HP's the Torque of the Duc's is waaaaay higher. And they are more powerfull on the low RPM's

i dont know exactly, my first bike was a honda 250cc four stroke, after that i had a test ride on a monster 600, and that one did not impressed me at all, so i bought this 900ie, cause that impressed me much!!!!! you can check the books on acceleration times

van 2000, alleen open uitlaten, dus min of meer standaard. de 900ie heeft 78pk volgens het boekje. de 900ie heeft wel meer koppel, namelijk hoe meer cc, hoe meer koppel.

Very disapointing accelaration, but these bikes are just too heavy and engines to baulky and soft, shame, they should build them with more alloy which will make them a little lighter and they need to think of a new engine to replace it, it's similar to an old fiat 500 engine

nice! got the same M900ie! people never believe it got "only" 78HP...have you altered the transmission? I am riding with 15/40 but there is a lot space to the optimum, 'cause it wont run into the rpm-limiter in last gear (230km/h on the clock....)

no it is the original transmission from the book.

on the speedometer it does allmost 225, on navigation 211 real km/h. i don't know which bike is reaching the rpm limiter in last gear, even my monster s4 doesn't.

a japanese bike with 78hp is piece of cake for the 900ie, that's why they call it "monster" i believe, hahaha

damn right! what i meant, with "space to the optimum" is that one could change the transmission up to 15/44 without loosing top speed but gaining a lot better accelaration...this might be nothing for daily use, but would be a lot of fun for sure...Ciao from your german neighbours! flunserl
