  • how do you change the pitch of the sample on the mpc do you change it b4 or after you chop it

  • damn, this sample i hear 1232948390283407204972242340 times p

  • niceee

  • yo is it possible to connect a turntable to the pc i have a "numark tt 1600" it's belt driven but it doesn't have any usb out cable, only audio cable. i got this turntable few days ago and yet i don't know much about it...do i need a mixer too can i connect it to the mpc?! peace out

  • what kind of audio cables are they? 1/4" jacks?? if so,then it shouldnt be a problem... i got mine hooked up to my pc via audio interface.

  • @sonofbrazil

first off, get a new turn table. the belt is gonna ware out one day, especially if you want to scratch. for starting off though, it should be fine (until you learn the finer points of the art of dj'ing).

connecting to the computer though, is really easy. I suggest you buy a MAYA44 sound card. (or sone like it) This will allow you to use not only real vinyls, but time coded ones aswell.

you may need some dj software, but you may not. you'll findout though i'm sure.

    Good luck.

  • you need some amplification for that turntable. like a phono pre amp. then you can connect it to whatever you want. pc, mixer, mpc, whatever.

  • Can go straight into it. Depending on your os of ya 1k you might want to remove audio out and listern with headphones. Better qual

  • YES REALLY DOUGH

  • hahahhaaa san miguel compadre

  • ohhhhhhhh mmmmmyyyyyyyyyyyy fuuuuuuuuckkkkkiiiiiiingggggggggg....

    ITS IN THE DESCRIPTION!!!!

  • Love that sample so muuuuuch!!!

  • i guess it is u cuntface... the sound in the video sucks.. so

  • wat if the part of the song u want to sample has a voice over it? can u get rid of the voice?

  • no.

  • you would need to buy voice removal software then resample the song

  • y ru saying crazy things lol

  • what? they do have voice removal software that stuff has been around since the70's i use it all the time.

  • i sample the whole song then make it a wave file then resample the song with vocals remove so i have access to the whole instrumental.

  • Nice beat

  • daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaammm

  • Nice Beat. Keep it up.

    Koo-C

    Universal Zulu Nation

  • dat sample is so hard much respect

    dog i will c u there

  • Where did you get the bassline?

  • i jus got the mpc1000 n i started makin a beat but when i have the seqs on song mode like seq 3 n 4 r the verse part n the left overs on seq 3 continues into seq 4 how do i cut it so the that seq 3 stops everything when seq 4 starts up? if u know wat im talkin bout

  • i know :D

  • You need to go into program mode, hit the pad that has the sample that is "left over". hit window, then make that sample "note on" rather than "one hit". Then make sure all the durations of that sample are as long as you want in the "step edit" mode. It will be somewhat tedious to fix, but for future beats you now know what to do before you record.

  • Beer and Beat making... good stuff

Props to the San Mig. Filipino beer is the shit

  • u shud hav created a program so your sample wud have auto sighned to the pads

  • Yeah yeah that's pure liveness

  • im fckin in love wit dat beat u beasted ma dude

  • VeryNice!

  • ta passando o jogo do VERDÃO X gambás.

  • damn dude tight beat man, ive always wanted to make beats but i cant afford n e of the equiptment rite now but maybe one day

  • You don't need equipment to make beats. I make my beats on strictly software.

  • oh shit 4 real? wut do u use? i watch some of these beat making videos and it looks a lil complicated, they press a bunch of buttons b4 getting the beat started but i dont think it will b hard 2 learn it

  • I use FL studio. I got a few vids up.

  • koo, i'll check em out, but how is the quality? do they sound different or less original than if u use an mpc?

  • i just uploaded some new samples for all you beat makers .. check my channel for the free WUTANG samples download

  • I concur and co-sign on that bro-

When compose on the MPC, I start off with about 32 samples and work with em for about 20 minutes reshaping, filtering and tuning. If I'm feeling like making it psycho funky, When I'm done you don't know who to shoot. You won't be alble to tell where any of it came from

  • Peep this! I never sacrifice sound quality for the benefit of saving memory. I can load up from a stack of disks say-45 samples leaving me 19 empty pads. That has nothing to do with my onboard sample time if I have not sampled onto the "sample buffer" - I still have 6 minutes, even if the 45 samples add up to 10 minutes. do the math! My EPS 16plus doesn't operate on that principle. I mainly use it as a synth-sometimes for voice samples or simple loops. it has 48 seconds. This is OVERKILL!

  • I don't mean no harm but : I hear sample "clipping" (the shrill) in the top of the sound. The Cause: recording the sample at 45 or 78 bpm instead of 33 bpm. That kills the quality. Makes the MPC 1000 sound like play back on a Casio SK 1. I know you just starting but you gotta do something with the EQ or sample rate before you sample. If your memory aint maxed then upgrade or get an additional sampler to share the samples. Believe me, I've been liftin' samples off records and tapes since 87'

  • Well see on the older machines like... the 3000, 2000xL etc sampling at 45 then dropping the sample back down gave it edge..

Premo, pete, blaze, Professor and alot of people have done it that way and still do it that way to keep that grime and save sample time.

  • That's true, and I used to do it that way - back in the day. But I don't do it that way anymore. My MPC 2000 is 32 megs MAXED OUT with 6 minutes of sample time plus I have a EPS 16 + . Combining these by midi to a Tascam 2488MK2 actually gives me unlimited sample time. The trick about the MPC is dIsk & memory. I may have "only" 6 minutes but that doesn't stop what I load on it - as long as I have pads. At any given time I may have minimum - 43 samples on the MPC (loaded from various disks)

  • damn, even jaisu was horrible at one point but now he's a BEAST!!!

  • lol i was jus thinkin the same

  • san miguel nice

  • nah man dont buy a 2000

    fuck

buy the new kind of mpc's

get 1000, 2500 or thats it

dont even bother with the 5000

and a 2500 is pretty much a big version of the 1000... the 1000 problem with software and chopshop can be fixed easily with the jj hack software (no this doesnt break ur mpc, and yes it is fool proof)...

    the question should be

    MPC or MASCHINE?

  • yo peep the page and lemmi kno wat u think bout the beats

  • NO not at all.

    2000xl ALL DAY!!!!!!

  • its hottttttt

  • Can you put this beat for download?

    Im feeling it, man!

  • I can Hear Hova on this.

  • Nice job! I can't stop my neck

  • now this is hip-hop!!! and not that idiots soulhya roy, kania west, lil' jon etc. fucking hate that shit of music...

  • yea kania west gay azz iz a singer not a rapper lol

  • Comment removed

  • yoo this kid is tight as fuck, he was watchin italy vs somone on the tube just chillin makin some dope shit. story of my life. respect.

  • it was ok

  • cool thanks

  • how MANNY SAMPLES OR SOUNDS DOES THE MPC COMES WITH?

  • it comes pre-loaded with some crap samples, drums and fx sounds, but the point is that you go out and find your own samples and make your own music

  • Yep!

tss.. MPC is AWESOME and WONDERFUL.

  • the bass is poorly tune, no?

  • i agree

  • Nice!!

but how does he know how much he has to be pitched and in what bpm the seq must be and it which screen did he do that?

  • its a matter of guess. Its better to record your samples at a higher pitch, that way you can adjust the sound according to the metronome and bpm

  • MegaG15, there's a reason why the best producers use MPC's..

  • cuz it's easier? it really doesnt matter.... it's all about the sample... trust me

  • i just realized who is in this video!!! what up ab0181!!!! you have come a long way from the 1000. Man...this video has been one of my favorites for a while. lmfao. ~1~

  • It's not very expensive. Get a job, work for 2-3 months and there you go.

  • lo, nice MPC vs Fruity Loops debate...

What everyone seems to have overlooked is that the MPC is a machine specifically designed for the purpose we use it, the PC is not. the software seeks to immitate facilities of the MPC (some quite well, some you need to work at it)

BUT unless you are a serious audiophile you will overlook the thing that put Akai where it is today,,, its AD/DA converters (and the filtering process that takes place).

The AD/DAs are what make an MPC sound the way it does

  • good find mate.. good track. good feel.. thumbs up

  • A man clam down, like I said ITS A PERSONAL THING, some like the MPC others like fl studio...

  • datz sum big tings dawg

  • Its a personal thing, honestly I think that fl studio is wack compared to an MPC

  • uve used FL before??? i don't think so... 1. doesn't matter what eq u use man

    2. think twice

and check out my beats, made with FL....

  • jus because ur beats may be good ( i dunno if they are i dont wanna check) but why will that make FL studio better . . think of how many songs are in mainstream that wer made using an MPC vs the amount using FL studio . . therfore by your own argument, u prove yourself wrong

but your argument aint the case, it aint what u use, its what ur comfortable with, if everyone made beats the same music would be boring

    peace

  • I always see people fighting about this. I don't think people really [give] about what type of equipment you use. If i could make hot shit out of a bamboo i would use it.

  • lol

  • if you can make a good beat with anything then you are a good producer period. Its all personal preference. Any person that even argues that isn't a producer or doesn't know shit. Madlib make the entire madvillion album with a small ass sp 808

  • actually he used an SP 303 and an SP 1200, along with a sound board, and recorded the whole thing in less than a week

  • thats right it was the 303 i got it confused. Which goes to show that you dont need all the high tech shit to make heat. you just need ears

  • Definitely - it's never about what equipment you use, or how big your studio is, it's what you do with what you've got. I hate these kids who ask, "What sampler did J Dilla use?" Irrelevant. He could have been using a piece of shit drum machine - his beats still would have been sick.

Talent can't be bought with expensive equipment.

  • go to work please!

  • you got to work with an mpc to understand why half world say the same!! mpc are faster and better!!

  • man ive worked with both an the mpc is much faster an better to use

  • have you ever touched an mpc? i fucked with fruity loops for 5 years and mastered that shit with ill beats.. i now have mpc 1000. well... the difference is, with an MPC your actually making the beat and and it takes time to perfect. fruity loops is more about about plugging your imagination in without playing music unless you have an MPD.

  • NICE

  • So if your drunk you make sicker beats? :D

Sick ass beat though i've listened to it all damn day and still am in awe at is dopeness

  • Crazy work...and crazy amount of views on this.

The chopped up melody sort of reminds me of

Outkast 'Ms Jackson', but I think that was a Shuggie Otis sample.

    peace

    OJ

  • big big big

  • I seroiusly don't know how ppl can afford all that shit. Legally atleast

  • they have rich parents.or they work for it while they are atudents or something like that

  • Is the mpc 1000 better than a 500?

  • Way better :p you cant compare ahah

  • hell yea, get a 2000xl instead.

  • why get a 2000xl if its only floppy compatible. thats like 3 mb of samples

  • Explain to me why I should get a 2000xl instead of a 1000 :]

  • iv'e never used a 2000xl but i know that the 1000 is compatible with computers and has a memory card instead of countless floppy disks.

    yes i feel special

  • u can honest see these dudes progression in the later vids. mediocre beat

  • well done

    that shit is hotttt

  • nice beat sonnn.
