Listened to this song a few times on the plane when I was on my way to Aruba for my honey moon. Reminds me off Aruba always. Simply beautiful. Love it!!!
Love so hard sometime is hurtful seem the world coming down nothing works at all at this time u can't go on.My sister bring back the sunshine back into my life please don't let the world get the best out of me let look at u again please peace.
@loneranger306 1985, but this song was recorded in the late 60's or early 70's as part of the album that Marvin was writing and hoping to produce for Sammy Davis Jr, who was one of his musical heroes and was briefly signed to Motown.
@jody808 I think this was originally left off "Let's Get It On" (like "Symphony" and other songs). I'm thinking he felt it was too depressing for an album as romantically upbeat as "Let's Get It On".
@buchananjosalyn You can't serious. Marvin was at the top of the music scene when he died. You must not know who Marvin Gaye was. That's like saying it going to take Michael Jackson 30 years to catch on after his death. Me and my spouse made 2 babies listening to Marvin.
If only he'd turned to God; He could have saved him.

I'm thinking early 1970s is when this song was recorded. Somewhere between 1971 and 1973.
