HAHAHAH 2:39 classic Ric Flair Flop... Flair was the best at putting his opponents over, he was the best at selling moves, and had the classic same moves, big back body drop, ric flar flop, flip over the turn buckle, run across the aprain and get either booted or closelined to the outside, only to do another FLOP hahaha, also Climbing to the top rop, only to be thrown off, then drop to his knees and beg for mercy, EVERY SINGLE MATCH!!! lololol seriously one of the best ever.
Even though I was just 8 and had no prior knowledge that Flair and Sid were affliated together in the Four Horsemen, I loved the idea of them working together as villains. I had my parents order me Mania 8 just to see the Hogan/Sid, Savage/Flair, Roberts/Taker and the Piper/Hart matches.
One of the things that made this time so great.......Piper and Flair already had a bloddy history and matches from the old NWA territories days. So, they spent years developing their craft....today WWE destroyed all the smaller territories so much they have to develop their own talent from scratch.....which is not easy to do.
a great shame that there aren't more of these matches available on dvd. i love seeing hogan and flair in a match together, they had great chemistry in the ring.
Flair did use the same moves in most matches but man oh man could he work a match. He sold every move and helped create a great pace, to tell a story in the ring.
Piper was awesome because you believed he really could snap and kill someone.
this is classic wrestling nuthin like this that john cena bull shit this is classic man love it and i was born in the 80's so i know love it man love it
Hogan's popularity was fine...the reason WWF lost a little momentem had nothing to do with Hogan, Sid, Flair, or Piper...in August of 1991 the WWF got rid of their "Ultimate" star...
the WWF was doing fine .. not like what would happen to it in the following year or two.
vince was being investegated by the fbi over drug allogations which is why hogan walked away for a while ,but i agree, wwf was still doing big buisness at this time!!-should never of got rid of warrior though, they brought him back but then used him as a scapegoat for steroid allogations along with bulldog and got rid of him again!!
by this time, hogan's popularity was diminishing, piper was not performing to par, sid's heel turn was totally done wrong, but flair was on top(and i hate to say that because at the time i felt wwf was handing flair everything but mcmahon's job itself-hmm, what a concept!)
@breannaelliott1 Fortunaltly at the same time they were developing upcoming stars like Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels. That the mistake WCW made when they let there young stars like Steve Austin, Mick Foley, HHH, Chris Benoit and Chris Jericho then kept pushing the older stars Hogan, Savage, Piper and Nash.
thumbs up if you wanted piper to win the wwf title at wm 8 than savage

How could he not be good at it? It was the only move he knew. When you do only one move for 15 years, you get good at it.

What a fast 10 count at the beginning! Usually the guys can go for sometimes 3-5 minutes outside and still slide back in before the 10 count!
