  • This sounds horrible. Really dose

  • if thats blink... sick! nofx even better

  • sux sux sux. Your not NoFX. They have real fans, compared to blinks scenester fans

  • I like this version better because marks vocals are more mellow :)

  • please stop covering my favorite band's songs!!!!! you are ruining it for me!

  • It's not terrible, and blink cites nofx as an influence so I mean I don't think people should get so upset about this, I doubt fat mike or anyone in the band is.

  • this cover is awful.

  • @kcb1784 it was recorded in 1992 in someones bedroom... so not that bad considering

  • @AndyG922 I wasn't referring to the audio quality. And I am all for the DIY bedroom recording. They just didn't play the song well.

  • I like this song, is much better than the nofx I think

  • Chris>Travis

  • Comment removed

  • haha fail. the nofx one is much better

  • so cool.

  • pretty good cover. but nofx are legends of punk blink have not or will come close to been as good as nofx

  • You have to be dumb to think nofx hates blink 182. Thats like saying mark and tom hate eachother. But i do agree this cover sucks.

  • @IGotAPagina LOL this is them in high school not a cover, but there first ep recorded in scotts bedroom. I think they called it flyswatter

  • @DECIFERTHIS09 This is a cover and im aware of that.

  • @DECIFERTHIS09 This is a cover, the original song is by NOFX, the only really punk band left, but anyway, I don't like Blink, but this cover is awesome!

  • @AcidLSDCanabislover You should listen to blink's first 3 albums (Cheshire Cat, Buddha and Dude Ranch) you'll probably like those..

  • you guys are pussies! Blehhhccchhh!!!

  • BAHAHAAHAAHA NOFX IS AWESOME and i couldve sworn nofx hated blink

  • @ThePalkie That's bullshit. Mark & Fat Mike are sort of friends.

  • @juliandereus2 well i just remember fat mike was makin fun of a kid cause he was wearing a blink shirt

  • @ThePalkie He said he enjoys their early music. And he personally called Mark to ask him if blink could play Family Reunion on his punk compilation "Short Music for Short People" On Fat Wreck Chords. He is just friendly bashing other bands. That's just how Fat Mike is ;)

  • @juliandereus2 i should known he was fucking around sorry

  • Not dissin blibk but nofxs version is better and most of their songs r better than blink ...... Stll good though

  • Oh my fucking god, I love Blink, but NOFX are better than blink and this cover is terrible. I think it's Mark singing, and I prefer Tom's voice in general.

  • The matter of fact is that Travis for this song is not correct, it would be put Scott Raynor...

  • I don't mind Blink, but this is a terrible cover. Maybe it would've been better with Tom singing?

  • wow, where did u find this song?

  • for anyone who does not like this REMEMBER this was recorded in scotts house with a tape deck before they where signed so i would like to see your amateur garage band do better ?

  • this is way old before travis was in the band

  • 193 assholes never fineshed their lines!! haha

  • why? just why? this is a disgrace to nofx... and if you don't agree... see this link youtube.com/watch?v=GUZ5gGO0_Pw

  • I actually like just a few songs from these guys, certainly not this one... thumbs down

  • damn, this is worse than thier attempt at the girl next door. blink fucking blows

  • Fuck a muslim, Fuck a Jew.

Fuck fans of blink 182, thats illegal if you're born in '83

    yeah yeah yeah.

    -NOFX

  • I love many Blink 182's songs. I've got 2 of their records and love them, but daaamn did these guys got far without much musical talent.

  • they didnt put nothing new in this song....except mistake at 0:57 xD

  • No offense to any blink fans BUT!! This cover rly sucks ass!!!

  • @punkkid1212 I love both bands, this cover was recorded around '92 on tape in their bedroom.

  • @RockBassTv really? how do you know that? were you there?? :D

  • @overthhhrow I've read their book.

  • @RockBassTv ok ok.. i thought you were anyone from blink ;)

  • This sucks

  • this was recorded on a cassete tape in a bedroom..think about it

  • dude old old nofx is rad... not too into their newer stuff but to hear this pathetic excuse of a cover makes me upset. the longest line is one of nofxs best in my opinion.. and blink 182 is flat out garbage....

  • That suck

  • blink covering nofx is sucks

  • nofx and blink are really amazing ! ;p

  • Love Blink, but this is absolutely a horrible cover of the Best punk band ever

  • ass tents not a song

  • wow this actually sucks. blink(old) is cool but nothin goes over nofx.

  • love this cover. but mark sounds drunk and not into it

  • this song was recorded as a demo in a garage. of course it's not gonna be the best quality. I'm pretty sure it would be a lot better if they covered it today. bad quality? yes. bad song? bad cover? fuck no!

  • @PhysicsAssassin Actaully it was recorded in Scotts bedroom :p

  • Worst version of this great song I ever heard.............Blink 182 needs to go to hell!!!

  • It'd be better to put a photo w/ scott, not travis.

  • @fullmusic24 don't speak that nonsense

  • @ThatGurlYouDontKnow you suck

  • fucking Gay

  • 306 persone non capiscono un cazzo

    non ce' paragone .

i blink non dovrebbero nemmeno esistere

  • @AcioFX mpaa

  • it sucks

  • so gay

  • @viennaNOFXER you are hay asshole !!!

  • wow a blink cover furrrking yeeeeeeewaaaaaaaa

  • I worship Blink, i mean look at their song titles, "Ass Tent" "I want to fuck a dog in the ass" "The blow job song" "I'm Gay"

  • @oblivion0gro0krash Haha. i mean listen to there songs *generic cororate shit* *emo sounding fuck shit* *sell out pop*. so great right.

  • @graffitionthefloor you know nothing, it's not emo

  • @oblivion0gro0krash ass tent's not a song. its a commercial that never aired because of 9/11

  • @pozdude3543what does 911 have to do with it

  • @gmstokes i dunno. ask that guy. i just repeated what the description said.

  • @oblivion0gro0krash ass tent is there commercail parody for there album take off your pants & jacket, its not actually a song

  • pretty funny that blink covers a song that is written by nofx as a parody on basket case by green day. Blink had the same sound as the old green day, so it's actually also a parody on blink. Seems like they didn't give a shit, or that they didn't know.

anyway, both blink as nofx are awesome

  • @dewo94 really? cuz i know all of blinks stuff (from flyswatter to their self titled album) and have some of green days older stuff and cant see any similarities. totally different style of guitar, bass and vocals. billie joe armstrongs your typical singer songwriter, plays chords and sings, where as tom bases lots of his songs on baddass riffs, as does mark. plus blink often played faster than green day.

  • @Stoptwistingmymelon that's right but blink and greenday are both bands of the poppunk movement that started in the 90's. And nofx didn't like that at all.

But, like I said, I don't care if nofx don't like blink. I like nofx for their music and for their political statement, and i like blink just for their music

  • @dewo94 fair do's

  • @Stoptwistingmymelon seems like i don't understand that ;)

  • @dewo94 How do you know this song is a parody of Basketcase... this ep was released before dookie so i don't think your right about that?? None the less i think all three bands are amazing however, each of them have declined in their latest years,, especially green day and Blink

  • @basketcase4life12 well on They've actually gotten worse live, nofx used a lyric from basket case in the longest line as a parody. But maybe that was after the release. I don't know that, so that could be right

  • blink in their early days were a punk band in their own right with a unique sound. i love their old shit, but it pains me to see what they've become. dont get me wrong they've got a few decent songs on each of their later albums, but before travis joined, every song they wrote was a classic

  • @Stoptwistingmymelon couldn't say it better if i tried

  • Does anybody still remember PAW? Grunge/Rock

  • the worst cover ever!!!!!!

  • @XxSlayerxXVI this is not the worst cover. It is recored on a fucking 8 track in a bedroom. The playing is perfect.

  • booooooom thumbs down!!!!!

  • @XxSlayerxXVI haha "boom" dont you mean "boo"? what are you fucking 6? you should learn the expression before you try to use it. dumbass.

  • scott raynor days for the win

  • this is a great song!!!!!!! blink & nofx both are insanely great bands

  • @decembersleeps blink sucks dude

  • NOFX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this is a nofx song, gays without imagination

  • @MyGuidox perfect government, straight edge, champs elysees, go your own way... nofx has done tons more covers than blink 182 who ironically have avoided doing covers throughout their career. Whether you like them or not early blink was imaginative as fuck and clearly just wanted to pay tribute to one of their favourite bands. Don't be such a cunt.

  • @hotrain44 Blink 182 "have avoided doing covers throughout their entire career"...? You seriously have no idea what you're talking about. They have covered countless bands and songs from their start to now.

  • i like blink but this is not quiet half as good as the original!

    nofx ftw!!!

  • @MrPunksnotdead182 Im not one hundred percent sure, but i think this was on they original demo flyswatter. They were mad young then, would do you expect.

  • @MrPunksnotdead182 what, not would, sorry

  • hanno rovinato una dell più belle canzoni dei NOFX

  • This has over 30,000 more views than the original NOFX version. Something's not right here.

  • Wow i didnt know they covered this tune!.. and the bitches talkin about the "definition of punk" punk is whatever u want it to be stop makin it into what it was against.. and for arguements sake rancid are the shittest so called "punk" band around do your research bud!

  • One day you won't be 15, and a 15 yr old will post a comment stupid and unimportant. Congratulations you downloaded CDs made when you were in diapers.

  • i know people wont agree with me but i think it would be awsome if blink were to redo all their albums before dude ranch with better quality

  • I think tom shoud have sang it

  • shame on you blinkf fuck 1shit 8gay 2

  • blink 182best band ever.

  • @decembersleeps unlike

  • ahahahahahha :))))

  • they butchered the original

  • @Shinigamigrapefruit no they didnt

  • gay

  • Selling out isn't punk, I can name ten bands ten times better that stayed true; that your big labels would have loved to pick up. Punk was never supposed to become main-stream, because now it's just going to end up a flash in the pan like disco once the next "cool thing bandwagon" rolls around for trend seeking pre-adolescents to jump on...

  • @leitch100 make sure you put the Hard-Ons at the top of that list

  • @leitch100

Look at Mr Real Cool Cat here, labelling punk! Going mainstream doesn't necessarily mean that it's not staying true. blink-182 stayed true. They changed their genre when Travis joined to fit his style more. They weren't expecting Enema of the State to be a huge hit. They were the first pop punk band to go mainstream, and I doubt you're making more money than them. If you're not then shut up mate. It took them over 6 years to get to the top, don't sook because they finally got there

  • @jaiidelonge182 "They were the first pop punk band to go mainstream."

Perhaps you haven't heard of a little band called Green Day?

  • @tuxedosponge

I'd rather label Green Day as pop. "Know Your Enemy" is the faggiest piece of shit I've ever heard that's been labeled punk rock. I do appreciate their albums Kerplunk and Dookie though.

Anyway, your statement is incorrect. GD went fully mainstream during the times of Dookie, when they were punk rock. Blink went mainstream with Enema of the State long before the release of Green Day's "pop punk" album American Idiot.

  • @jaiidelonge182 "Dookie" was pop-punk. It was really, really good pop-punk (there is such a thing, see The Only Ones and The Exploding Hearts), but definitely not pop-free. Considering the lingering punk scene of 1994, GD were a band apart, even in genre, and certainly in quality.

  • @tuxedosponge

Don't recommend music to me, I've listened to just about every band/artist in the punk genre and sub-genres, and the only ones that I liked were NOFX, Bad Religion, Sum 41, Green Day, blink-182, The Descendents, Screeching Weasel, Nirvana etc.

You should know that even the punk-starters The Ramones/The Clash/Sex Pistols all had pop in their songs. Does that make them pop punk? And if so, then where did punk really start? Did it ever even live? Or was it just pop punk?

  • @jaiidelonge182 "Don't recommend music to me"? You're right. That was a real dick thing to do. Please accept my sincere apologies. No one should ever dare clarify their opinion by citing examples. I'm obviously trying to infringe on your punk cred, and you should definitely defend yourself.

Perhaps my semantics statement flew right past. I can see this isn't even worth it. I'll leave you to it.

  • @tuxedosponge

Calm down smartie, I wasn't trying to be defensive. I was just saying I don't like it when people do that. Either way, this is a Blink video, you would expect to see comments about blink-182 and NOFX (who made the original version).

But I guess if you're going to point out something like that,I should probably point out that you completely ignored my statement on punk bands including pop. Now maybe I should write a sarcastic comment about it like you did about mine.

  • @jaiidelonge182

    Greenday lol

    Nirvana is not even punk.

Seriously get better taste in punk. And learn what is punk and what is not.

  • @AkoHaxx how is nirvana not punk?

  • @jrack13 Nirvana is grunge/rock

    learn2music

  • @AkoHaxx ok punk is not how you sound. its more like how you express yourself.

  • Cobain was more punk then all the Blink members combined. Punk is not a sound, its a way of life, an attitude. Kids today dont understand this. They are blinded by "fashionable corporate poppunk. " Nirvana's music was influenced by punk andthey themselves influenced punk bands. They did, said, played, wore whatever they wanted... musical freedom. "Grunge" was just a marketing tool... Alice in Chains was also "Grunge." Nirvana and Alice In Chains music couldn't be more different from one another

  • @jaiidelonge182

I didn't say Nirvana was punk. They're alternative rock. I was just simply stating them along with the other bands I liked. I like early Green Day, hate their new stuff. Know Your Enemy is the saddest song in history.

Get better taste hey? Better? This world is fucked. Music is one of the things in this world that everyone can have a say on, and you come along all "There is better music, they're crap". I like them, so shut up. Shows how punk you are.

  • @jaiidelonge182 Although this argument is entirely semantical and open to multiple answers, I suppose my main point would be that pop-punk has a bad stigma, and it's a label that is cast over some really amazing shit.

  • Guys, Blink recorded this in their fucking bedroom when they were still teenagers

  • Mark Hoppus is a dumbshit. Way to make a good song sound bad.

  • they should of redid this in the studio

  • Comment removed

  • i love both nofx and blink but i prefer marks voice 4 this song, idk thts just me tho

  • HOLLYWOOD PALADIUM IN 95 OR 96 BLINK 182 OPENED FOR THE VANDALS AND NOFX BEST CONCERT IVE EVER GONE TO!!!! P.S. THIS VERSION SUCKS DONKEY BALLZ!!!

  • NYHCFroshi

Look at them, a punk band representing the burbs? What the fuck is that? Not punk...There's no struggle in their music, just young love and pop bullshit, that's not punk...."There's something wrong with the kids in my neighborhood" by nofx, listen to it. punk is raw, not frosted tips and all this bullshit. You ever see SLC punk? I've been listening to punk since 1990, I started on Nofx, SNFU and shit, Greenday and blink aren't punk! they're pop.

  • @leitch100 Just saw your comment on here and had to say something... You're not impressing anyone by being a super cool, non-conformist, punk motherfucker. They don't "represent the burbs", that's just where they happened to grow up and where you grow up doesn't determine what genre of music you get into. Being punk is about doing what you like and not giving a shit what somebody else thinks about it. Blink has the right idea about this, but you seem to go along with whatever SLC Punk saidispunk

  • Blink and Nofx shouldn't even be on the same page, Blink is gay, Nofx are pioneers...well that travis guy is alright, but the other two are homos.

  • @leitch100 do you allready know if they are homos or are you just guessing this.you sound like a kid that just takes a look at there style or something else superficial.stupid.if blink gives some tribute to a band like nofx they cant be that gay because both bands share some kind of same taste in music and message

  • @leitch100 So I suggest you analyze what being a punk is all about. Cheshire Cat, Buddha, Dude Ranch, etc. have a good punk sound to them and I will admit Enema of the State to their Self Titled album sound a lot poppier since they were discovered by a major record label but blink still kept some punk influence in them. They still to this day go on stage and say "fuck this and fuck that" and play the music they made loud and proud despite what "true punks" think of them which I respect a lot.

  • Flyswatter, Demo#2, Buddah, Chesire cat and Dude ranch, Blink-182 is awsome, Best songsi like atm is "the girl next door" and "Fealing this" Whooo!

  • WTF...???!!!

  • i find it a bit annoying when people but blinks old stuff and cant even put a picture of the band with scott. he does not get anywhere enough appreciation for his work in blink

  • @puddinpop100 dude thats the coolest thing i ever heard a 15 year old say. LSD 313!

  • Blink could have been respected and all if they stayed in the underground instead of making fucking music videos for every fucking single. I hate it when people say Blink-182 when you mention the word punk as if Blink was the only punk band out there. No shit, they're okay. But they just went in there in 1999 and took the genre away with them. And that's a little sad.

  • BLINK FUCKING SUCKS AND NO ONE CARES ABOUT YOUR AGE YOU POSERS!!

  • @jaildeonge182 Yes and you're only 14 so stop talking like you know everything or like you're a lifetime music lover/pun rock kid.Don't try hard to impress.Just eat your veggies and be nice to your parents.Oh don't forget to finish your homework too.I am 25 and sick of kids these days who act like they're big enough to speak.Learn your manner first okay.

  • I'm 14 years old, and most of the people at my school listen to that modern shitty pop that comes out. I'm probably one of the only ones that like Blink and is way into their older stuff, even though I wasn't born then. One day, I decided to really give my opinion.I held up signs, "LIL WAYNE IS SHIT" "KETCHUP, YOUR TIME IS TIK-TOKING" "LONG LIVE BLINK" some people had a go at me. I handed them a copy of Dude Ranch, and they changed forever. I also got suspended for a day. Gooooooood times!

  • i bet tom can nail the solo now

  • Hahahafuckingha! Tom played the solo wrong!

  • This should be on their next album

  • Blink should leave the punk music to the punk bands

  • Early Blink was no doubt heavily influenced by NOFX, although they could never catch the tongue in-cheek humor of NOFX, Cover isnt the best, but not totally horrible. Punk in Drublic was an absolute masterpiece. And speaking of punk masterpieces from 94, Offspring's Smash, Bad Religion's Stranger Than Fiction...what an awesome year. That Smash album stayed on my cd player, jeez. Definitely got off topic here, but nostalgia kicked in heavy

  • sucks when compared to NOFX's version

  • How can one dislike this?

  • not as good as nofx's version

  • this was recorded in the original drummer's fucking bedroom, they were all aged 14-20 for fuck's sake so stop complaining, this is not a bad cover

  • WTF? :s

  • YEEES LOL

    my life is complete

  • putos de mierda deformaron una cancion esto no es punk rock son unos maricas cheeeeeeeeeeeetos

  • This is one of the worst covers I have EVER heard.

  • how does this video have more views than the real version. i just puked and cleaned it up with blinks album.

  • fuck all you nay sayers blink 182 all the way through, buncha jackasses

  • .__.

  • old blink ruled, the only reson why NOFX got over them is caus they went gay and sold out like alot of other punk bands nower days, nofx are of the little few that didnt and stayed the same they wer and thats wht earned them the respect they have over the years of being a band

  • @CVcivilrights So blink 182 "got gay". Civil Rights is a cool screen name.

  • @idiot1321 yea, like dipshits that dont even understand what blink are about are like "yea all the small things rocks! and adams song! and i miss you!" fags

  • @CVcivilrights "Fags" Thats very High School of you, are you even old enough to remember blink in the 90's. They were always viewed as a "poser" (i hate that word) band. The fact is blink 182 is a rock band now, they don;t play punk anymore. Those days are long gone and the scene is dead. And it sucks that these fucking dumbass hardcore kids are trying to listen to pop punk and creat stupid bands like all time low. I hate all this shit. Old blink was great though.

  • @idiot1321 yes indeed i am in High School blink from the 90's gets me through High School and you dont need to be around during the time to still hear the music, i got all their cd's and a few records even. I know they dont play punk anymore, thats what hurts me man as a punk in indeed a scene that is very much dying it sucks too see good punk bands sell out instead of carying on. Yea All Time Low Fall Out Boy, they can all suck a dick. Old blink was great.

  • May I inquire about the skinney jeans with the high tops...?

Dude, The Ramones wore tight jeans and high top chucks, and The Ramones can do no wrong.

  • kinda sounds like blink

  • Love this cover!

  • Ok, I'm 15 and I am in love with blink. I hate it when kids be like I like blink too. And I bring up Buddah, Chesire Cat, Dude Ranch and they are like what? I just get pissed because they don't know what blink is really there for. Dude Ranch best fucking album ever made.

  • @PuddinPop100 thank you so much that's like the story of my life!
