It was an awesome show! Thanks for commenting....the good ol' days! :)

  • Does ANYONE have LIVE footage WITH SOUND?

  • @delimac59

this is the only known footage of Moxy.

  • @paddlepop77

Awesome Story ...thanks for sharing... I was outside all night with the other 2,500 people and rushed the stage when the gates opened. You had a better plan!

  • Is that Billy Wade on drums??? RIP Billy... miss you... D

  • @dishgawd

not billy wade on drums. danny bilan. rip billy

  • I was there! I remember little, but it was fun. I do remember the Toronto Police on horseback at about 6 am controlling the gate. In the wee hours of the morning, beer bottles were hurrled at a police van and things got weird.

I remember the Ramones getting apples and pop cans tossed at them in the afternoon when they played. I was real buzzed for Johnny Winter. Don't remember much of him. Ted was great! Aerosmith is a blur.

  • @vancaulart

You remember it exactly the same way I do.

Thanks for your personal story....Keep it Rockin'

  • thanks to Donvalleydon for the info, i was thinking that Bill Wade was always with the band at that time, maybe i have to watch more attentively the video.

  • @prickrick

    Rock'n'Roll!

  • i think i was there

  • @Simperific

Aerosmith, Ted Nugent, Nazareth, Johnny Winter, Goddo, The Ramones & Moxy

  • i now asking to somebody who can answer me about one thing:

why it's not an original member who upload this live footage in youtube ?

Danny Bilan was not there at that time.

    thanks very much

  • @prickrick

Danny Bilan was there and provided the video footage.....

Authorized posting of this video granted by Danny & Valerie Shearman.

  • funny how out of all those acts only THE RAMONES

remain relevant to masses of young kids today.

People were douche bags for throwing things at them.

  • @HOJOBRAM

It was very disrespectful that the "Ramones" were physically assaulted on stage by numerous objects that were thrown at them during their brief performance at this event.

Your opinion on what acts remain relevant to young kids today is arguable though... The "Ramones" contribution to music is certainly excellent!

  • Was a great show. I also camped out the night before with some buddies as we had the field level general admissions. I still remember the guy who had his car up near the stadium cranking Black Sabbath (the song in the early morning), some still insist I was running around with one of those rubber tomahawks during the Nug's set. As to the the Ramones i don't remember the frisbee but i do remember many of those large pop containers hitting them.

  • @zadekay

I also camped out - what a wild night and an awesome show!

    Cheers!

  • Moxy did a hell'uva good job kicking off the day ! Great to see this clip .

    Good 'ole CNE Grandstand !

Johnny Winter at the top of his Rock n Roll game to !

  • @kickitoutman

Thanks for checking out the video!

Fond memories....Ooo what a night & day it was :)

The epitome of rock'n'roll at it's finest...Killer Show!

  • I got in about 11:30am, I think MOXY came on about 12:30 and they did put on one high energy show, I'm guessing 30,000 people were there at the point of this video and I think the total attendence was 55 to 60,000 that day.MOXY was making a name for themselves at this time! Sad to say Aerosmith seemed to have enjoyed the day's events a little to much by the time they came on

Johnny Winter's set was great, three piece and full on Rock n' Johnny,at the peak of his Rock period

    Cheers to all !

  • This was a great day. Moxy, Goddo, The Ramones, Johnny Winter, Nazareth, Ted Nugent and Aerosmith!

  • And Nazareth ! Scarpelli leaving his guitar feeding back on top of his amps at the end of Goddo's set. Nugent coming out on top of his amps doing a guitar jumping off with 4 or 5 huge smoke bomb's.

Yaaaa.... that was some day. Still laugh like hell at all of the shit that was thrown at the The Ramones... Fuck them.......

  • @kickitoutman

It was an absolutely awesome day and night.

We will never be able to repeat it or forget it!

Thanks for the comment - Keep it Rockin'

  • Moxy... great to see the footage.Seen them rock the Quinte.years ago Buzz was the man

  • Buzz was a great rock'n'roller!

    Cheers!

  • Danny with curly hair! I can feel those drums from here...

  • It was a great show!

Small world. Thanks for being in touch...

  • Does anyone have the Ramones audio from this show?

  • I doubt the audio exists as The Ramones were booed & fingered off the stage after 4 songs...

A great band that was mis-billed!

  • @donvalleydon my buddy was the guy who threw the frisbee on the stage when the Ramones came on....one of the best days of my youth... Aerosmith sucked at this show... Nugent... well... a little cat scratch fever was in the air...along with a huge cloud of smoke... Miss the CNE and the big stadium concerts...

  • @64bluesplayer

It was an amazing day in Canadian concert history.

I was actually at the event for 24hours, arriving at midnight the night before, along with 3,000 others who spent the night at the stadium in advance of the show.

Great to hear from you and thanks for telling your story!

Keep it Rockin' - Loud & Proud!

  • Wow! I was there. One of my first concerts. what a line up: Aerosmith,Nugent, Goddo, Moxy, the Winter brothers, The Ramones (they got booed off and in true Joey style says "fuck you toronto" and they walk off..was not their crowd). The Goddo's had a little boy on stage to help out with "I'm a pretty bad boy". Saw you guys a few years later at my very "high" school on Kenneth Ave. Thanks for the memories. Anyone else with those days intact? Thanks,

    J.

    Carpe diem Haiger.

  • I remember it like it was yesterday!

    What a wild 24 hours.....

  • Don the guy in the white hat in the background by the amp line was me it was my second gig with them as stage monitor mixer and eventually out front on the side singing backups and mixing. 20 years later I recorded "V" and Raw" with them. By the way the guy on guitar stage left was Doug Mackasgill as Earl had already left the band after "Under the Lights".....Brian Maxim

  • Thanks for the insight MAX. Love your vocal work!

Always wishing you the very best...see you up ahead.

  • I had just arrived in Toronto and I remember that concert perfectly. Moxy, Goddo, ramones, Johnny Winter, Nazereth, Ted Nugent and Arrowsmith. I was 20 rows back . Moxy was suppose to play the Carol Arena in Moncton N.B. in around 1972 and they kept blowing the power in the arena so we never got to see them play and wer refunded our $ 2...lmao Where has the time gone.

  • Thanks for the comment.

I remember the concert like it was yesterday...

    MOXY Still RIDIN' HIGH!
