I cant believe that after 4+ years of sharepoint existance, the upload center cant even show a proper upload progress bar. You have absolutely NO way to tell how long the uploading will take, and the office app will freeze until the upload finishes as well.
Also, office apps will gladly offer to check-in a file that has not yet finished uploading to the server, thus losing your changes without notice. Very lame.

Cool Video and great Software: Does it work as well with team-members who don't have SP-Workspace as part of the Office 2010 installs available ?
