China's trains are almost all direct technology transfers or modifications thereof, like the KTX I in this video is. The only completely domestic high speed train, the China Star, never made it to production.
ah the jealous french. Yeah if you look closely those cars are slightly different engineered to work to Korean Rail Standards. The locomotives are more aerodynamic and that set has 18 carriages not 8. So NO it wasn't stolen it was paid for and improved.

KTXができた当初に乗ったことありますが、300km/hで走行中に小刻みな揺れがあり乗り心地はあんまりよくなかったことを覚えています。当時まだN700系は出ていませんでしたが、700系の方が断然快適でしたね。
KTXにも新型が出たみたいですし、もう一度乗りにいってみたいです^^

客車の車体長が19mにも満たず短いので、凄く速く見えますね。
シャシャシャシャシャ~…の間隔が我が国新幹線の車体はこれより30%ほど長いので(25m車体ですと)380㎞/h近くになるでしょうか。

1991년.
한국의 작은 국토에 별 필요도 없는 고속철도를 도입한 이유는 통일 때문이었다.
21세기 통일 한국을 유럽까지 고속철로 연결할 기대와 계획을 가지고 시작한 사업..,
하지만 시간은 흐르고.. 이미 KTX 2 까지 나왔는데도... 통일은 여전히 오리무중..-_-;;

高速新線だけ新設すれば、あとは在来線を走ればいいからお金かかんないし。

韓国に15回も行った友だちが言ってましたけど、KTXは恐ろしいほどの手抜き工事が次々と発覚して、いつ世紀の大惨事が起きるか分からないそうです。
友だちは二度と乗らないと言ってました。ソウルは映画のセットのような都市で、中心地から普通電車でわずか5・6駅を走ると、もう田園風景になり、そこから先はディーゼル車だそうですね。

既に中央線・春川線・京義線が電化されたため、5・6駅でディーゼル車区間ってのは無くなってしまいましたね。
ソウルより北方面は、北朝鮮との軍事境界線があり開発が進まなかったってのがその特殊構造を生んだと思われます。今は人口過密で、北方面にも開発の手が及び始めていますが。
南(水原)や西(仁川)方向だと、市街地の連続という関東にも近い光景が見られます。

懐かしい ここまでソウルからわずかな時間特室試乗 快適そのもの。連接構造のよさもあると思う。何も日本の新幹線がベストではないだろう。(車両規格が大きすぎ)日本の周囲はいろいろなものが見られて幸せ。ここからはタクシーで在来線の駅へ。

動力集中方式の難点で、どうしても加減速は動力分散方式を用いている新幹線や在来線特急より劣りますね。
韓国も「ヌリロ号」など新式の在来線特急車は動力分散方式に戻るようです。

Korean rail system was unable to handle duplex type of coaches, so they had to lengthen the train to 20 cars to accommodate number of passengers.
Alstom had problem of this 20 car length.
at 300km/h the cars 15 to 20 were shaking unacceptable amount. It took Alstom a long time to figure out what the problem was before they fixed it.

it is called Hyundai Rotem.
they make metro subway trains, electric - diesel locomotives, high speed trains,
and regular passanger trains.

一応あることはあります。日本の新幹線と違ってシンプルカテナリ式ので、殆どわからないほど細いですが。
パンタグラフも20両編成中で1つしか上げていません。

車両幅は実際に日本の新在直通列車(在来線幅)のそれでしょう。フランスの新式高速列車用車両のAGVなんか動力分散方式なので、ますます日本の新在直通車両に似てきました。

yep a French TGV trainset built in France at Belfort / Alsthom, the nose is a bit more pointed i think than the French types of TGV-trains !
