  • @luvintherawlife We will start on Oct1st a Osteop. follow up project.. If you are interested you can scroll down with the 14 videos and click on BONE DENSITY COMMITMENT". It is a level 2 workshop but if you have worked through the 14 videos until Oct 1st, you can participate. We have a very active group who exchanged a lot of information on the last project. You find everything on w w w dot Rebounding dot TV under the Category "Osteoporosis Training" or email me sylvia at qibounding dot c o m

  • @luvintherawlife You can look at our website and see the description. They are on the menu options Rebounder/Shop on w w w dot QiBounding dot c o m. By the way, I just put more free training on our Website. When you click on the Menu option 'Rebounding Training' and you scroll down to the middle of the website, you see "The Bone Density Project" 14 videos. Click there. That is a step by step training for Rebounding beginners. And it is free on our site till September 12. Have fun! Sylvia

  • @luvintherawlife Great. I wish you a lot of fun with your new Rebounder. I personally never wear shoes because you get more out of Rebounding without shoes (unless you have a problem with the ankle or big problems with your arches and need to wear shoes). I wear anti slip Akkua socks from Italy. They are awesome. Bounce in good health! Sylvia

  • Very well intentioned & good spirited but za blurriness! Oy vey

  • Very good video, you are so helpful...I can tell you have a big heart!!

  • Thank you for the videos , I love it . but how long you recommend for starting a rebounding routine , For overweight people in mid thirties, would love to do it everyday but how long each day ? greetings.

  • @vickylove35

This will depend more on your balance, flexibility and the strength of your joints, than how much you weigh. Most programs recommend starting with gentle bouncing where you're moving up and down but you're feet are always in contact with the rebounder. This is a good way to get used to the motion without much risk to your joints. If you try to do too much at first, you risk injuring your ankle joint and your calf muscle.

  • I read the firmer Athletic bellicon is more suited to running. A drawback of a bungee model is the soft foot response when exercising to 'keep up' with a running tempo. I wonder if one could build a firmer support the same size as the circle mat to create a surface more like the the Athletic and suitable for vigorous fitness exercise. May be a beveled piece of Plexiglass cut in a circle could be sealed between two circular pieces of padding. One could have a bungee bellicon be Athletic.

  • @propanes Hi there, That's a good point. There is a very easy solution to get the bounce return firmer: Choose stronger bungee cords. Bellicon offers 5 different bungee cord strengths and if for you choose x-strong or even ultra (which is for people of up to 400 lbs), you can get a bounce return as firm as a spring based Rebounder, like the Athletic. Bellicon has stopped to manufacture their spring based models (Dynamic and Athletic) as they can give any kind of bounce with different bungees.

  • Excellent information - Thank you :-)

  • would this be good for overweight people? Can this hurt their knees?

  • @IvySweetVenom Yes, definitively it is an exercise for overweight people. The great thing is that high quality Rebounders like the QiBounders take 85% out of the impact on the joints. So you are left with only 15% of the impact (when you jog, you have 100% impact). This allows basically everybody to rebound. If you rebound correctly (like I show it in my exercise videos on my website "w w w dot QiBounding dot c o m" Rebounding should not hurt the knees - when using a soft bouncing QiBounder.

  • @QiBounding That is great! I am going to check out your site right away thank you!

  • thanks - this was really informative!

  • I bought a cheap walmart unit two months ago and broke it within two weeks. I then decided to go with reboundAIR because of the quality of their website and lifetime warranty and they have been around forever. LOVE THEM!!! Don't buy a cheap rebounder.

  • I,ve worn out 2 urban rebounders already. There decent units but after a year or so of regular use the springs start breaking.I'm on 3rd one now , springs still breaking, definitely considering this one though.

  • I really like your point on starting slowly. I just started and I over-pushed myself, and fainted backwards. So, now I know, it is o.k. to take it slow and not expect to be a professional right off the bat.

  • I absolutely LOVE your vid! Thanks!

  • @Gaiagirl85 You are very welcome! There are much more on my website w w w(dot)QiBounding(dot)com. Sylvia

  • Good Evening, I just wanted to say thank you for this very clear and helpful video. We just bought a mini trampoline for my 17 year old daughter today because she is being diagnosed with lymphedema, and we are fighting it (first with God), and with everything we can. We hope this will help stimulate and detox the lymphatic system. Do you know of any success stories with this issue? If so, please let us know. Thank you again!

  • @belletube07 Thank you for your comment. Concerning Lymphedema: Several of my clients told me that with a regular workout on their Rebounder (they use the Bellicon bungee Rebounders), there condition got so much better. This makes sense to me as you really move your lymph system.

  • @belletube07 You find testimonials and info on my website QiBounding "dot" com under the menu HEALTH > Lymph. And on my web TV show on Rebounding "dot" TV I also broadcasted one episode with the theme "lymph". Just give "lymph" in as a search term and the video will show up. Best, Sylvia

  • simply an excellent video. 5 stars.

  • Son I go hard. I got stuck in as soon as I got the thing. I went 45 mins full pelt. I do 2 hours non stop following my weight workout!

  • Wouldn't jumping rope be just as effective? You have to jump up and down.

  • Yes. Jumping rope is very effective. It's just that for a lot of people landing on the floor (hard surface) is too jarring. A young body up to 25 or 30 can compensate that shock easily. Later the body does not compensate so well any more and at some point jumping on the floor gets contra productive. There, top quality Rebounders like the Bellicon come in and allow continuous bouncing till over 90 years... (my oldest clients are 92).

  • I find this to true. Of course, when jumping rope you can minimalize the amount of impact by jumping on a surface that provides more give. Even so, a rebounder provides the same benefits without the strain,

  • Thanks for the vid!

  • this is a GREAT video! thanks! i'm thinking abt getting a bellicon!

  • Hey Sarah, what's a bellicon?

  • how is this exercise different then jump roping ?

  • You have less stress on the joints and your back. When you jump on the floor you get a great exercise for instance to strengthen your bones. You'll get the same results on a high quality rebounder. Advantage on the rebounder is that you are not having a 100% stress on the joints which you have when you hit the floor in jump roping. The mat of a rebounder like the Bellicon rebounder takes 85% of the impact out and leaves your joint with simply 15% - which practically everyone can do..

  • Is Rebounder American for Trampoline?

  • You are close. Rebounder is the equivalent to Mini-Trampoline. The word "Rebounder" has been created by Al Carter - inventor of the Mini-Trampoline. Kind regards, Sylvia

  • ur rebounder isnt noisy, mine does

  • When I moved from Europe to the US - being a Rebounder Trainer -, I bought all rebounders that were "quality rebounders" (not the cheap ones sold in sports good stores"). I searched for a good Rebounder that I and my clients could use . After 2 weeks of using them, each of those Rebounders squeaked significantly. That is when I decided that I would import the Bellicon Rebounders, which - besides having a much higher quality of bounce - are all completely silent. Also after years of usage.

  • is it ok to use this for like big jumping like jumping off and then dunking a basketball rim or will it break??

  • This is not the original idea behind these Rebounders. However you could use them for this. They would not break. I would take the strongest possible bungee bands to do this. They are called x-strong. In some months, Bellicon will bring out even stronger bungee bands called "ultra strong". The bungee bands are not breaking. However they are wear-out items and wear out over time. The stronger you use them, the earlier they will need to be replaced.

  • I saw that you used socks and Ben used tennis shoes. Which is better or will either do?

  • Thank you very much for your question. It is ok to bounce with shoes however you get more benefit out of your rebounding session, when you bounce barefoot or in socks. The reason is that when you bounce without shoes, you also train the muscles of your feet. Some people however have conditions where they need a supplementary stabilization of the ankles and then it is better that they wear shoes. But this is rare. For most of the people bouncing in socks or barefoot is the best.

  • I just ordered an Urban Redounder from HSN (looks much like Ben's w/the handle). Thanks for the video, it was helpful & Ben's music choice was nice too!

  • Thats what I use

  • Wow, this is great: I will start with the simplistic/basic bounce & then work my way up.

Great Encouragement, & helps with my desire to get my Rebounder out & work with it.

No, longer will it sit around a collect dust.

    Thanks!! Cyndi

  • That's great. I am happy that you are starting bouncing again. It's the best refreshment that you can give your body in SPRINGTIME!!!! Have fun!

  • Very helpful information. Thanks

  • I just got a rebounder, and didn't know where or how to begin. This introduction was helpful, thanks

  • You are very welcome. Bounce in good health!! Sylvia

  • What scientific proof is there that rebounding affects the lymph system more than other kinds of exercise? Isn't that an affect of all vigorous exercise? Also, for the claim that affecting the cells means that muscles get stronger, even if they are not being contracted?

  • Concerning the muscles getting stronger. That has to do that the muscles like any other cells in your body are exposed to three forces at the same time: Gravity, acceleration and deceleration and even when you don't contract them consciously they have to work. If you rebound you can feel this very clearly. You can easily get a heavy duty workout on a rebounder where you are in sweat in five minutes! Kind regards, Sylvia

  • is the bellicon ultimate mini just as quiet as the bellicon ultimate?

  • Yes. Both rebounders are identical with the only difference that the Bellicon Mini is only 39 inches in diameter and the Bellicon Ultimate is 44". The bounce is the same and the technique of bungee bands is the same. So, yes. Absolutely quiet.

  • thanks for the vid, I would have just started jumping 3 feet in the air like a crazy person cause of how fun it looks had you not told me otherwise.

  • Hi there, Thanks for your comment. That is very interesting to hear. I have just learned yesterday, that Anthony Robbins who is teaching "The 12 master principles of a vital life/The Power of Pure Energy" puts Rebounding on the basis of his Energy pyramid, declaring it as the fundamental basis for all other activity and vitality. That very much is in synchronicity of what you wrote! I wish you a lot of fun and great health in your rebounding practice!!

  • It's definitely true that eventually any spring-based rebounder is noisier than the bungy-based rebounders are.

Good job, here, Sylvia, although I find bouncing without shoes to be much better than apparently Ben does!

  • Hi there, Yes the bungee band rebounder is of course completely noiseless. But also the spring based rebounders of Bellicon (the "Dynamic" and the "Athletic") don't make any noise.

  • Concerning bouncing with or without shoes: I also prefer and teach to bounce without shoes as you get so much more benefit from rebounding this way. Ben however is one of the very few people who have very tender joints and extreme problems with pronating. And in this rare case it is recommended to use special anti pronating shoes. That is the reason why he bounces with shoes.

  • THANKS SYLVIA AND CO. FOR THIS INTO!!

ps: I never mind that the cellerciser is so noisly;) its need WD40 probably!

  • Hi Ckris,

We had no good results to stop the Cellerciser from squeaking - WD40 does not seem to help a lot. Any other idea? That is why we like the Bellicon so much as they are completly noiseless - even their spring based reboudners.

  • Thanks for the info. Love that exercise room. Looks just like mine -- not! Wish it did!

  • Thanks. Glad to hear that you like it!

  • thanks good intro
