Snow does make a sound, you just have to listen for it. During a heavy snowfall and the air is crisp and all is quiet, it makes a faint sound as it lands upon the ground or tress. Similar to the sound of  rice crispies slowly falling into into a bowl...

I wish snow made distinct noise like rain. By the by, does anyone else notice that snowing seasons typically have annoyingly brighter suns and it seems to be feel slightly warmer for a given temperature when it snows than without snow in the same temperature?

Yes! I do notice that. Maybe it's because the cold temperature absorbs into the snow and takes some of coldness away.
